Seems fake. But all over Twitter.
Some kid wanted to go home early today.
According to Kimberly Bird, the Assistant to the Superintendent of the Alpine School District, all children have been evacuated and are safe.
She said a man in a mask went into the Eagle Valley Elementary School office just after 2 p.m. and said, “Evacuate the kids and no one will get hurt.”

So why did he go into a school and tell them to remove the only targets he had? Sounds to me lake the typical bank robber who is dumber than a box of rocks.
Maybe he went there to shoot a teacher or staff member - domestic type thing
