Sometimes we pause and think about all the times You have rescued us----times when we were aware of Your hand holding us back, and times when we were completely unaware of what You did to prevent disaster in our lives. We simply marvel at Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace.
We rejoice in knowing that You show that same grace toward our men and women in the military. Many face dangers daily, and yet You are with them, stretching out Your hand against the wrath of their enemies. Father, may Your right hand continue to deliver them.
Lord, bring peace to our nation, to its people, and to our government. Help us to restore our commitment to You. We cannot comprehend a time when our need for You has been more acute than right now. Give us a passion for the lost, and help us Lord to hasten the day of Your return by working daily to lead others to You. Help us to honor You by spending time in Your presence each day. Bless Your people Israel, and may Your Name be glorified throughout this world. Thank You, Jesus for Your amazing grace and the finished work of the cross. In the Name above all names---Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Father God, we especially lift up the injured and the families of those violated on our soil over the weekend. We lift up the first responders. Father God, we ask for their healing. But Father God, we especially ask that if these people do not know You as their Lord and Savior, that their eyes be opened and that they begin to understand Your magnificence. Teach us to minister to others, extending Your love and Your mercy, that we may be good stewards of Your grace. In Jesus name we do pray.
