Couple of things this morning. First a beloved Aunt dies. Next the gray cat. Next my operation last week, turns out I have the same thing as Hillary.

Heh.

I was born Patricia McLaughlin. Yesterday my Aunt, Agnes McLaughlin, passed away.

She was not, technically, my biological Aunt, in that she was married to my biological Uncle, my father’s brother. But I have been close to her all my life.

She did not have a bad life and lived well into her 80’s. Her daughter-my cousin-wrote the book linked above, “God’s Mountain, McLaughlin’s Valley”.

Goodness she researched our family’s history all the way back to the mid 1600’s when we were McGlocklins and most likely not even Irish.

My family fought in the Revolutionary war and damn if we ain’t Americans to the bone.

Hillary would consider the whole lot of us deplorable.

Goodbye Aunt Agnes, goodness I loved you. Tell my Dad and Uncle Gray I said Hi.

Last week I had an operation goodness hospitals and medical procedures, dear Lord.

My cardio guy, all of 40 years old and looking just like Olympian Ryan Lochte (and darling of the cardiac unit) put a stent in my right leg. He intended to put about 20 in my left leg as that leg is so blocked I really have walking issues.

“The blockage in your left leg is too near your hip bone for me to do anything,” handsome young doctor who could be my son tells me. “We just need a surgeon to go in and pull it out with a snip, I slip a stent in there, I go down to the next one, boom, another stent. I don’t even think we’ll need to do anything with that third blockage,” he finishes up.

So okay we’re on that but bigger and more surprising things happened. Turns out I have something called AFIB and need to be on the very same medicine as Hillary! Caumodine, a clot-preventing, blood thinning medicine, was prescribed and so important that I had to leave the hospital and immediately pick it up at Walmart. Also quadrupled my blood pressure medicine and doubled this, on and on.

But guess what? I feel quite good.

Understand I have not resumed full activities, man they got me carrying no more than five pounds, not even driving for a couple of days! Again, I feel quite good.

Tomorrow I go get my Caumodine test and Tuesdays going back to gym, but lightly.

Seems like my heart and circulation were all over the place and yeah, I didn’t think things were right.

All this because for some eight years I had a Muslim cardio guy that I could not understand a word he said.

Finally, there’s the gray cat.

Below, between the dashed lines is part of the eulogy I wrote for my beloved husband, Billy, deceased in 2013.

Still and so, if I had to provide one personality characteristic that best described Billy, it would be his unending love for animals.

He and I shared this love and we always had a house full of pets, cats and dogs and once, an unfortunate hamster. He carefully took every insect he captured or mouse he took half-alive from a cat’s mouth and took them outside as these critters were people too.

While Billy loved all animals, it was the felines of the world he so adored. Indeed, if ever a human being could be depicted as a human cat, it would Billy. And don’t go thinking that this statement would insult Billy.

Like the feline he so adored, Billy believed that emotion is best expressed as a gentle purr heard only by a few in the surround. Anger is best expressed as a quick hiss and a walk away. Quiet is a virtue, loud noises are bad, any changes in the living surround are to be met with suspicion and caution.

He was a wonderful husband and as corny as it sounds, despite the fact that I am the exact opposite of a cat, he was my soul mate.

We always had a slew of cats and yes I love animals. But I was never particularly a cat lover. With Billy gone, and a couple of his cats still alive, I take care of them, dearly, for Billy would cast a curse upon me if I did not.

One day this gray, completely gray, kitten shows up on my porch, from out of nowhere. Understand here my house is in a community on a big highway, just not the sort of place loose pets roam around. It was just ONE kitten, a feral one at that. There was no big little as if a cat had one till they grew. I have no idea where this kitten came from but dear Lord I wasn’t about to let the little thing starve to death on my front porch, which I don’t know why it insisted on living on MY front porch when there are plenty of houses around. I do have cats inside, perhaps the kitten knew.

I even contacted a favorite cat lady friend and arranged for her to come to my house and we would catch the thing, take it to the pound.

Every day I offered food but Shadow, my obvious name for her, would not let me touch her.

It’s now been over a month and Shadow loves me dearly. This kitten that would not let me touch her now is ALWAYS by my side. She plays with the dogs, the other two cats, one of which is over a hundred years old.

Well I just don’t know because as I lamented forever on Facebook, a kitten is number five of the bottom five things I need in this life.

Diane Feinstein adores Shadow and she thinks it’s odd too that this kitten showed up like this. Diane Feinstein knew Billy and we both love Shadow and Shadow loves both of us.

I think Shadow thinks we are the same person.

Heh.

Anyway, as always, thank you AB for doing this thread, thank you Bray for weekly, thoughtful prose, thank you yon commenters for putting up with me and fleshing it all out.

With Hillary having this clot problem, pretty serious with that Caumodine, I do not think she should even consider being President. Look at all these health problems with just running a campaign!

It’s time for her to give it up for God’s sakes.

I'm starting to fear the October surprise will be another 'right winger' under the control of the Southern Poverty Law Center (like the killer who liberals trotted out to colleges to 'prove' right wingers really WERE racist) will be the NY bomber.

Why?

Because the MSM and Al Sharpton's MSNBC are ALL OVER this story... and that's NOT their pattern. I suspect the New York Times is on this like white on rice too... Which is also NOT their pattern when it's a likely radical Muslim.

Will a 'hate letter' appear... with vague impressions of the nut being a Trump follower?

Or like the Church killer (who didn't leave a bullet for his own suicide) will the nut be found dead with 'proof' he's a 'right winger'.

Did the bomb go off in a traditionally democrat white neighborhood that might be trending Trump?
