Trump did not make it an issue the media did. It started last week I saw Chris Matthews grilling Rudy Guillini about Trump not saying Obama was born in the US. Matthews was almost screaming at Rudy and talking over him. The rest of the media was pounding the drum about Trump and the birther issue. Trumps campaign said he would address the issue soon hence what happened today.
He did what they wanted and they are still not satisfied because he didnt do it the way they wanted. Screw the media

Could have just said. “Obama is not the 2016 candidate for office, and from here will no longer address or take questions on the issue.”
MSM was sure they had him this time!! They pumped the birther story all morning, every channel! Trump was going down! And what did they get? Trumped!!! Big League!! Gold star generals, Admirals, and the most beautiful hotel in the world! And they could not cut away! It was pure genius! They were determined to take him down and they failed! Once again, Trump won!!!
They wanted their two weeks of stories to say Trump’s campaign is slipping.
But we know Trump didn't mean it and so do they and there's not a stinkin' thing they can do about it...
The birther issue is another dead horse they are trying to get back on its feet...But Trump won't let it get up...
When Trump said he would “address the birther issue” the MSM all began salivating for the Major Grovel they just knew was coming. That is why Corporal Garrett was literally speechless.
