NBC2 has learned event organizers for Donald Trump's campaign rally are looking for a larger venue.
Also on Friday, registration closed for tickets. We haven't been told just how many tickets were distributed, but we're told the event is expected to bring in between 9,000 and 15,000 people.
The rally is currently scheduled to be held at Germain Arena in Estero. Germain Arena organizers said they will only allow about 8,000 people inside.
We're working to find out what other venues would be available on such short notice.
Donald Trump is supposed to speak in Lee County on Monday, beginning at 3 p.m. NBC2 will have live coverage of the event.

Meanwhile... event organizers for Hillary Clinton's campaign are continually looking for smaller venues.
I wonder if this is eluding in any way to the possibility that Trump campaign is being denied venues
Next they will be using football stadiums. Meanwhile, Hitlery rallies can be held in a broom closet.
Wow, that’s impressive, especially for 3 pm on a workday in an area that isn’t even all that populated. Fort Myers in nearby, but that’s not exactly a huge place. I’m guessing a lot of people from Naples are coming, but these numbers are still really huge under the circumstances.

If they have any sense at all they know that the crowds are well-behaved, respectful of property, and clean up after themselves.
Book a liberal event and weep at the damage afterwards...

I think for obvious safety reasons Trump won’t do any rallies in large stadiums, but maybe near the end of the campaign I could see him doing one or two rallies in one of those large venues. The visuals for that would be stunning!
Complete with a broom in case Hillary needs quick transport out.
