I’m betting on Door #2 - even Kasich could not have missed how ticked off the electorate is at what Washington is shoving down our throats WRT foreign trade, immigration, etc. Why else would he keep pushing, pushing, pushing - and, on top of that, not endorse Trump?
He's getting a pay off.
Most likely he's secretly involved in some business or
company that will be doing TPP business. He has
probably been promised some job or VP position where he
will get paid millions for doing nothing. But first he has
to go to bat publicly for TPP and urge it's passage
in Congress. He's has to show his masters that
he's doing his part.
