Angela LeJohn is 49, has worked at a local energy company for nine years, and loves it. A registered Democrat, she never once voted for a Republican and never expected to entertain such a thoughtnot even in a local electionuntil this year.
The short of it is that I am looking at this election through self-preservation, she explained. I love my job, I love that I only live three miles from work, I love that who I work for contributes to a stable life, and I love that my community is holding on because of the trickle effect Lee Supply Companys impact has on the region.
LeJohn will vote for Donald Trump for president and for incumbent U.S. Senator Pat Toomey in November, she candidly admits, not because she loves either Republican candidate but because they have my back.

Nice article Salena. Thank you.
Salena you are doing a great job that other journalists don’t want to do.
wow hokie mom.
strong statement
Anecdotal evidence, but, O well....last weekend I drove 25+ miles to reach the Donegal exit of the PA Turnpike and passed scores of Trump signs.
Zero for Hitlery.
This article made my night. I actually teared up reading about the passion of these people to make sure their way of life survives for them and their families. The democrats have no respect for them and all they hold dear, and I pray that this election the democrats get their just deserves.
Nice! Needs to be plastered on gas pumps all across the fruited plane.
One key thing Trump has going for him is that all the right people hate him; the GOPe, the Democrat establishment, the Wall Street Globalists, the media establishment and the racial supremacists. But I repeat myself.
Assuming these Democrats represent an awakening in the majority of western Pennsylvania Democrats, could enough of them switching their vote to Republican offset the Democrat vote in the Philly area?
Was at a fair and there was a Trump Republican table very busy with people buying Trump yard signs. The Clinton democrap table had nothing going on. That was out in the boonies though.
Possibly, but don’t forget that then still kinda popular Obama only beat unpopular Romney by 310k votes in 2012.
Thank you Salena Zito ...
Call me crazy, but Trump just might win in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) DESPITE all of the usual voter fraud. Same reasons as stated in the article.
Yes. This detailed study of PA voters, which also noted the big increase in Western PA, specifically says so:
“Pittsburgh and the smaller cities in the west have been trending Republican for some time. Voter-registration changes since 2012 indicate that Republicans stand to make substantial gains here, continuing a multi-decade trend. ... In the last four years, metro Pittsburgh, Erie, Altoona, and Johnstown have seen a six-figure drop in the Democratic registration edge that has overrun all of the Democratic gains in much larger Philadelphia.”

We can't take another foreign traitor wrecking ball and I'm glad this gal understands this.
I went to the local Republican Party office yesterday to get my yard sign and I was amazed at how many people came in to get signs while I was there. The guy I was speaking with told me, “It’s been like this for weeks.”
What I found especially interesting is that people are PAYING for the signs - two for $5. Why? The RNC isn’t providing any Trump signs and people are more than willing to pay for them. I gave the guy a twenty, took one sign and said, “If someone comes in that clearly can’t afford one, give him one.”
If this is the same Lee’s Supply Company about 4 miles from me in Washington County,PA, They have a huge Trump banner on the chain link fence around their storage yard.
