More “Free Trade Free Trade”. I swear he owns a factory in China....
Trump surging in the polls. Hillary releasing medical info. Why do I have a feeling Levin will use the first hour of his program to rip Trump a new one for his child care proposal?
It’s a shame conservative Free Trade costs America app. $350 billion a year in trade deficits.
Is there anywhere to see Levin’s purported skyrocketing numbers? He has taken to lying about so many things, it is impossible to believe him when he says anything anymore.

talkstreamlive.com list quarterly numbers for streaming radio programs. Their next list won’t be out until early October (for July-August-September).
From the last quarter of 2015 through the second quarter of 2016 [December through June], Levin dropped from 4th to 5th place and lost about 46% of his December share.
Broadcast numbers supposedly come out weekly, but they are usually listed by station. I have yet to find a website that shows the numbers in a comprehensive manner.
I would suspect that the massive share drop in streaming would also be reflected in broadcast stats.
He has a quiver full of arrows that he shoots at Trump on a daily basis. I just happened to listen to him the other day in my car, first time in ages, and all I heard from him was moaning & groaning about Trump and ridiculing any caller who supported Trump.
I almost wanted to call him and tell him that no candidate is perfect, including his vaunted loser Cruz. But I then realized he is not worth the effort, because the man is incapable of really having any dialogue with those who question him on his brand of conservatism.
I know this because I had listened to him for years.
I posted this to the Limbaugh thread this morning.
I heard an interesting opinion from Alex Marlow on Breitbart Radio this morning arguing that the maternity leave program really IS a conservative principle because government should properly be encouraging citizens to have more babies so the nation can survive.Marlow suggested that women are waiting until their mid-forties and six-figure incomes before having children, and this contributes to the nation reproducing below the replacement rate. He said that anything that helps families to have children sooner is a good thing.
Marlow did acknowledge that it would make government bigger, hence the conservative conflict, but he felt this was legitimate and necessary to protect the nation's identity as opposed to Italy, for example, which is only at a 1.1% replacement rate.

The problem with ‘conservatism/conservatives’ is that it has been co-opted by too many and has devolved into too many flavors, sort of like what happened with the tea party movement.
Most Republicans claim to be ‘conservative’ of some sort, especially around reelection time. They just create their own name for their own version of what they claim ‘conservatism’ to be.
It has become a Republican ‘litmus test’ word they have to invoke, like they do with ‘Reagan’ on occasion.
As you allude, the problem with those who call themselves conservative is that they stay inside the box that the Left constructed for them, while slowly drifting that box to the left. At some point, the essay predicts, the Left will no longer need the conservative foil and will simply discard them.
Levin seems to have annointed himself as the last man standing. Now he talks about people who abandoned conservativism - is he talking about Limbaugh this morning? Is he talking about the anonymous Publius Decius Mus, as the 12 year old with a blog?
And now we're back to whining about Cruz's loss?

“Because Levin has now established a pattern.”
His pattern is he says he will vote for Trump while he continually stabs him in the back. Reminds me of John McCain continually going on the Sunday morning talk shows and stab George Bush in the back. I will opine and say that Mark Levin is a John McCain Republican.

And now we’re back to whining about Cruz’s loss?
A false argument given the fact that Saint Ted of Goldman has abandoned the fight to defeat Hillary Criminal. The Great One never had a problem with Cruz going AWOL with the prospect of Hillary’s SCOTUS a very real possibility.

I remember Levit mentioning many, many times how he had been asked on the Sunday shows, all of them, and he always declined. It is symptomatic of many of the purists. They won't sully themselves by appearing side by side to their opposition. They won't get into the fray and make a play for the everyday folks. I understand now that that is because they aren't interested in everyday folks, esp the kind who might manage a Publix grocery store.
Look what Levit has done. As if the bunker and the mentality that went with it weren't bad enough, he has now ensconced himself further in a protected controlled environment and hothouse. He calls the shots. He decides who he talks to and for how long.
There is an arena of ideas, a battlefield of conflicting opinions and thought, some of it is very rough and tumble, and Levin runs away from all of it .... uncontrollable, unpremeditated, unexpected as they might be.
this is why I think levin's conservatism is dying.
Just for you, Snark.
Well he always trashed McCain, but I think he trashes Trump even more.
