I understand your loyalty, and believe your assessment, but his emails drip arrogance to me. Not just personal arrogance, but the arrogance of public office - which we should quit calling public service, because it just isn’t.
His emails prove to me what I have thought about colon Powell all along.

Yes, the job of the general was well done, but once he donned the suit and tie, he became the liberal useless type of people who populate the Department of State and/or CIA; I retired at age 55 rather than spend one minute longer than necessary with their ilk.
