Most Would Still Vote To Get Rid of Entire Congress
Rasmussen Reports ^ | September 13, 2016 | Sraff

Despite continued poor ratings for Congress’ performance, voters are slightly less in favor of voting to get rid of the entire Congress and aren’t quite convinced they’ll vote for someone other than an incumbent this November.

This will give you a pretty good look at how hard the congress works, yet fail to get issues passed. (link)

This Congress is getting the blame for things they can't control...cut them some slack!

Agree, and this includes an awful lot of differing interpretations of “get rid of”.

Pick ‘em like it’s done for jury duty. One term. Go home. Live your life.

The press insists that the nation is tired of government “business as usual” but continues to maintain the fantasy that it’ll vote for more clintonism/obamaism.

Everybody thinks congress needs to change,

Except THEIR senator or congressman...

McCain (or Flake) will never get my vote again!

Leftwing war rooms write tear jerk AND racist hate letters ‘IN OUR NAME’ to congressmen. They play them for fools. When I heard that crap from Paul Ryan about Americans wanting our guys to work WITH democrats to get stuff passed quickly I was stunned how easy it is to manipulate fools.

I’m tired of reading this type of nonsense.
When given clear and often better choices, voters send the same
hacks back over and over again.

With a rare exception of Eric Cantor, it’s almost impossible to get rid
of these hacks.

AMEN!!!

Was foreman on a special prosecutor grand jury. Original foreman never showed up after first day. Man was she in trouble.

Of course it all went down honestly, but if you did it every day, for years, and lawyers got to know you, how long before the GIFTS would start coming in.

Congress is a vast wasteland. It doesn’t even defend its own turf against usurpation by the executive branch.

When they leave for their frequent “recesses” nobody notices.

Don't Reelect Incumbent Politicians

OK.

My congressthing is a weak establishment Republican.

His opponent is a frothing-at-the-mouth communist abortionist democRAT.

One or the other of these two creatures WILL be my next congressthing.

In your opinion, for whom should I vote?

Don’t know why people are answering this way. If true they wouldn’t have voted nearly 100% for incumbents for the primaries (Rene Ellmers and Huelskamp were two of the only incumbents in House and Senate combined [don’t believe there were any in Senate] to lose this year that I can recall) and if patterns hold will probably vote for 98% of incumbents in the general this year.

So sorry but I don’t believe people {or they love to complain without actually doing anything about it} when they say they would vote out Congress because they rarely do and when they do it’s thirty-five to forty total seats during a “landslide” election which means over 495 are still re-elected. Much fewer than that when it’s a non-”landslide” election year.

Or tree stumps
Or ...

"My congressthing is a weak establishment Republican."

Well, that narrows it down to 220 or so...

Well, that narrows it down to 220 or so...

I live in West Virginia, and it describes all three of 'em. But I'd still like to see what Mr. DRIP thinks is the appropriate way to vote.

BTW, I voted for a challenger in the primary.
