The state Democratic party filed the lawsuit late Thursday. Democratic officials argued that the state GOP party erred in how it sent in Trump's name for a spot in the ballot because Republicans hadn't properly chosen alternate electors.

Not even the DFL filled Supreme Court could deal with the heat that would have come down on them if they removed Trump from the ballot.

They’d have to shovel Madison into the lake. And then the EPA would be all over them.

The RATs need to start treading lightly, they may not even have a candidate for November if they want to play this game

Come on, “deplorable” Minnesotans! Winning the Gopher State would be so totally sweet. Trump would out-do even the Gipper.

Mondale’s margin of victory over Reagan was less than 4,000 votes—and Minnesota is his home state.

Well, I do hear a lot of good ol’ boys there saying they’ve had quite enough of the b.s. and Baby Boy Franken. I hope the Trump wave will energize enough Minnesotans to get the state back on track.

Correct. Mondale came very close to losing Minnesota. I still remember election eve 1984. Reagan’s pollster Richard Wirthlin told him he was on his way to win 47 states, and gave his blessing to satisfy a local party request in Rochester, Minnesota to have Air Force 1 make a refueling stop for long enough for a short pep rally. The crowd loved it and it made our local 10 o’clock news. One more such stop might have made it a 50 state sweep.

That’s a lot more blatant attempt to disenfranchise the American electorate than all the phony whining the Rats put out about “the new Jim Crow.”
