All the moderators stink so plan for anything.

They’re liberals.

Trump should tell them they’re fired or he walks.

Mr. Trump did not say they should be done away with because they are deplorable.

He just needs to refuse to do a debate unless Hannity or Laura Ingraham are the moderators. If not, end the debates altogether.

I agree they’re not going to be fair, because they’re not going to happen.

Lincoln-Douglas - No moderators, six hours outdoors in hot weather, no time limits, no microphones.

That I’d like to see....

You know, this is the era of jobs being done away with by robots. We don’t need those stinking biased MSM hacks. Let people submit questions on Facebook or something and have the candidates answer them. All they need is a college footbal ref with a whistle to make sure Hillary doesn’t try to steal all the time for herself. Or cough on Trump.

“Moderators” are not needed.

9/11 now has a new significance; the hag’s power hungry political career is finished as of 9/11/16. God does work in mysterious ways.

I totally agree. The media is about 500% against Trump.

I would let each camp choose a moderator. That seems fair.

Do away with the “moderators” and bring in UFC referees. That’s the kind of debate I want to see.

Art of the Deal in action: Push for no moderators as his initial position - eventually work toward what he wants, a change of moderators that works in his favor.

Allow a moderator picked by each candidate. They can alternate questions.

If I were Trump, I'd publish a list of my ground rules well before the debate. I'd then sit down with the "moderators" and tell them in no uncertain terms what would happen if they deviated from those rules. And one of the consequences would be me simply closing up my notes and walking away, leaving the stage occupied by two liberals and a stunned silence.

I would make sure every newspaper and electronic medium in the country had the list before the debate started. And I would ensure that the moderators agreed to my stipulations or I'd simply refuse to attend, on the grounds that I'm not going to serve as ratings fodder for your network while you destroy my campaign.

I watched the entire Commander in Chief forum last week. I thought Matt Lauer appeared to be trying to save Hillary from herself and her own horrible performance when he interrupted her, told her to answer quickly, and the other things about which her supporters were whining.

In contrast, Lauer was rude and combative and just happened to have a 3-year-old tweet at the ready when interviewing Donald Trump. The difference was Trump spoke right over him and got his message to the audience.

I believe most of the announced debate moderators will behave as Lauer did, and while ardent Trump supporters won’t be swayed by them, I don’t know how the undecideds will see things.

With the advancement of Artificial Intelligence and computers that can out-think chess masters, couldn’t computers/robots be programmed to be moderators?

All they need is a point sheet and a time limit.

1. Economy

2. Foreign Affairs

Etc.... then let them use their 5 minutes on each topic to explain their position and why. PERIOD.

In an interview Monday on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Donald Trump predicted the upcoming presidential debates would be “very unfair,” and suggested doing away with moderators entirely. “Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate,” he said.

The Lincoln-Douglas debates had no moderator.

Have you ever seen a moderator who actually contributed or enhanced a debate? I have yet, but then I have only been watching debates since Nixon-Kennedy.

The "oligarchy" observation that Mike Savage offered a decade ago would explain why the Republicans never complained.

Haha! Hillary’s been complaining about moderators too.

I hope Trump mentioned that a timer that switches microphones on/off would be fair.

Here’s what Trump said:
http://www.teaparty.org/trump-wants-debate-clinton-without-moderator-186942

“The fact is they are gaming the system,” Trump said of the criticism of Lauer, “and I think maybe we should have no moderator. Let Hillary and I sit there and just debate. I think the system is being rigged so it’s going to be a very unfair debate.”

SPECIAL: The Tea Party is recruiting an Army of Observers to prevent a Rigged Election by Hillary Clinton. Please chip in $35 or more to Stop the Steal…

He added, “I can see it happening right now because everybody was saying he was soft on Trump and now the new person is going to try and be really hard on Trump just to show the establishment what he can do. I think it’s very unfair what they are doing.”
