Ed Rollins, campaign manager for Ronald Reagan in 1984, talked about Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” comment on Fox today. As reported at The Gateway Pundit, Hillary called Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables” at a fundraiser Friday night:
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton attacked supporters of her rival Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, saying half of them are deplorable, irredeemable and ‘not America’ among other slurs in remarks Clinton made at a high dollar fundraiser held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City that featured Barbra Streisand as the entertainment. With tickets as high as $250,000, a reported $6 million was raised.
Rollins lambasted Hillary for those remarks.
Rollins pointed out that Hillary has a history of name-calling:
I think it’s what she meant. It was a scripted remark. “Deplorable” is a terrible term to use about any Americans. She’s very quick to throw out the title that you’re a “racist” or you’re “deplorable” or you’re “unAmerican” if you’re not for her. And the people that she’s with – she was here for the Barbra Streisand event at the Fashion Week. All the beautiful people raising $6 million. She has spent the last several months in the Hamptons where the rich all go doing these enormous fundraisers. And Trump is out there with real people.

She has been, and always will be, an acolyte, disciple, and apostle of Alinsky, and it flops out in obvious ways on occasion.
Some call it a gaffe, but it is an accidental insight into the core of Hillary and her kind.
* RULE 12: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
Many of us view the term as an honorific when spewed by she-who-would-be-queen.

Deplorable Me.
Think about why she said that. She is trying to attract people who might otherwise vote for Trump to instead vote for her. Why, then, would she say something that is insulting to the people that she wants to attract? Conservatives are either offended or amused by her assertion that they are deplorable. Actually, they would relish being deplorable to a woman they hold in low or no esteem. But Hillary’s mindset is on the only people she understands, liberals. Liberals want acceptance from other liberals more than anything. If they were leaning towards Trump the idea that they would no longer be acceptable to other liberals would burn fiercely in their psyche. Rather than risk ostracism in their social set they would instantly switch back to the perceived “more popular” liberal stance and vote Hillary. Liberals are all about “fashion” and appearances. (Fake foam Greek columns.) They are flash without substance, hollow, high-sounding words with no meaning. “We are the ones we have been waiting for. Let history record that this is the moment when the Earth began to cool and the oceans recede.” (Barack Obama, Brandenburg Gate speech.)

She had been making the same comments in her off the record fund raisers where they collect the cell phones at the door to prevent a Romney moment. She just decided The LGBT crowd was a safe one to use the line more openly. Perhaps they had collected the phones but a rouge person still decided to record.
On one hand, I believe she will pay for that statement. People are inured to the viciousness of the comments being tossed back and forth. Now, she is insulting his followers? That’s new.
On the other hand, it was long ago and several iterations of whatever her latest excuse was at that point when I lost the ability to imagine how anyone could still support this pathological, lying career criminal.
For some reason, it sounds so much worse to say “they are a basket of deplorables” than to say “they are deplorable”. It sounds and cartoonish and dehumanizing, almost as if they should be hauled away and locked in a stockade.
Wasn’t it Herself who screeched about being called unpatriotic for disagreeing?
There’s a lot of soldiers who support Trump and she just insulted the hell out of our troops.
