Anxious Dems urge Clinton to open up
The Hill ^ | September 9,2016 | Alexander Bolton

Democratic senators, anxious over Hillary Clinton’s inability to pull away from Donald Trump, have some advice for their nominee: Be more open, show your soul, focus on the economy and talk about blue-collar jobs.

Recent polls show Trump within striking distance of Clinton, defying predictions in Washington that he is doomed in November.

Trump’s ability to stay competitive while running an unconventional campaign has underscored what Democratic lawmakers see as the need for Clinton to improve in certain areas. These lawmakers, who served with Clinton in Congress and have known her for years, say her public persona is too guarded.

They struggle to reconcile the charismatic, warm and funny woman they know in private with Clinton’s public persona, which can come across as stern, aloof or annoyed.

Democratic senators say it’s natural for Clinton to put up her guard because she has been the target of Republican attacks for decades. But they think she might benefit from relaxing a little more on the campaign trail.

“Her decades in this arena have taken their toll,” said Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.). “When you’re hit a lot there’s almost an unconscious shield that controls the answers to your questions. I think she’s got to get rid of that and just let herself be.

“Everybody that knows her, loves her. They know her heart is full,” she added. “That’s what she ought to do, just take the shield away from the heart.”

Vice President Biden offered similar advice earlier in the week, calling on her to be “more open.”

Clinton has had the most difficulty connecting with white working-class voters. A nationwide CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday showed Trump beating Clinton among white voters without college degrees, 66 percent to 23 percent.

Many of these voters question her trustworthiness.

She is warm and kind to all who acknowledge her as Queen.

Hillary has been in the national public eye since 1990/91 and still has not convinced the public there is a human soul inside.

Hillary’s persona has had more update releases than Adobo Flash. What are we on? Hillary 17.0?

By “open up” they are encouraging her to lie, cheat and steal; say anything to keep political power. I have never met a politician yet who ever kept his promises with only one exception - Ronald Reagan and even he ceded quite a bit not in our best interest.

TRUMP IS NO POLITICIAN. That is a very valid reason to vote for him PLUS he truly cares for people and has no reason to lie.

At the helm of a crime syndicate

I love how Rudi continues to educate the voters about the abudunt evidence of the need for a R.I.C.O. investigation, indictment and prosecution. He seems to have educated DJT along those same line.

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, commonly referred to as the RICO Act or simply RICO, is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization.

With regard to “improving in certain areas”, even her most lap-doggie sycophants are hard pressed to name her lifetime accomplishments. Vaguely, they say, she has helped children, though there is no evidence. She was fired from the Watergate counsel, for lying, she failed her DC bar exam, HillaryCare was a disaster, she had no significant legislation as senator and as sec of state she left Libya and the rest of the Mid East in political tatters. Her only significant accomplishments involve self-aggradation.

Others have mentioned the fact that, the more the public sees her, the lower her numbers go. Her handlers know this, that’s why there are no open press conferences and all public appearances are highly scripted with toady pressers in the audience.

Hillary should go out and raise more money from her uber rich friends in the Hamptons.

All of the Little People are of no consequence to her and the word that comes to mind with Hillary is “insufferable.”

The woman is the Queen Of Privilege.

The truth has finally caught up with her and the Uniparty. It is very difficult or if not impossible to do anything.

" she took the first step when she gave a personal address Thursday night to the National Baptist Convention"

Which very few besides the choir attended.

Be more open: Are they serious? Open with her medical records? Open with her security lapses? Open with what she really thinks about people?

Show your soul: Even after four years of Obama, I don't think people are ready for that. She already comes across as your ex mother-in-law.

Focus on the economy: She knows nothing of the economy. She is a grafter.

Talk about blue-collar jobs: Like how good she is at destroying the industries that provide them?

What a joke.

Hillary is actually polling in the high 30s.

Only failed Jimmy Carter was in that territory. Mondale, a more decent guy, got 41 percent when he lost.

Hillary is nowhere near decent and she makes Carter look competent.

I have a vague recollection of Hillary when she was first elected to the Senate elbowing an elderly Senator (it might have been Strom Thurmond?) out of the way in her rush to get face time on camera. He almost fell and I think it might have been Joe Biden who caught him before he hit the floor.

Anyone else remember this?

Yes, her warm side was so apparent then.

Voters in Ohio, WV and PA were warned that the Democratic machine under Obama/Hillary would destroy the coal industry and seriously hinder the tri-state economy. Many voters continued to drink the Kool-Aid. Now they’re moaning about how much their health care costs and how crummy it is. How they can’t make the copays because they aren’t getting away money from their savings and CD’S. How much things are going up. They still have their guns - Hillary will never ban that, would she? /sarcasm

The Queen of Mean. Remember how she destroyed the reputation of that twelve year old rape victim so she could win the best deal for the abuser, her client.

So, this is a sign of a party confident in their nominee's victory, right? It's in the bag?

If she has a warm side, it's only because it's been roasted by the fires of Hades.

Democrats wouldn’t be giving Hillary advice if she was going to win.

You save advice for your enemies and not for your friends.

Some friend Hillary is to the Democrats.
