Sometimes you just have to laugh. However, it really sucks to be Gary Johnson right now.
Poll after poll is showing presidential candidate Gary Johnson in the race hurts Hillary Clinton more than Donald Trump. And you know what that means?
Yup, time for the MSM to wage a thermonuclear media operation against the guy.
If only Gary Johnson was hurting Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton the media would have brushed the flub under the rug. Alas… VIDEO

The amusing thing is that you could ask the same question to a thousand Americans, and I doubt if more than ten would get the answer right.

I am in California where it probably makes more sense to put a Johnson sign on the front lawn and suck support away from Hillary than a Trump sign...

They are targeting him because he is a threat to Hillary. I heard Megyn go after him tonight and it was disgraceful. She opened the segment with a damned Brit reporter who wailed on about a gas attack in Alleppo today where they had to scrub the chemicals off the victims of Assad. “A poor 13 year old girl from ALLEPPO died gary...”
Then she turned to Johnson and simply would not let him complete an answer and badgered him relentlessly.
Johnson honestly, through the flak, gave the best answer on Syria in the whole election, including among the 16 GOP candidates. It was an embarrassment to journalism. (if such a thing exists)
He pointed out that we supply the FSA which is often blended in with ISIS. He talked about the Kurds being another faction. He said that ISIS would have to be wiped out now. He talked about the fact that all of this was a result of our nutty obsession with regime change in numerous places.
And he said the best way to end the violence was to partner with the Russians and bring this to a close. He even pointed out that we are having cases of CIA backed rebels fighting US Army backed rebels.
Megyn started shouting “what about Assad!”.
He didn’t start in with the typical government line about deposing Assad, no fly zones, “moderate” rebels, etc.
I’m not a Johnson guy because he endorsed BLM, Open borders and Refugees and TPP. But on Syria he beats everyone including Trump.

The Liberal Media have realized that Gary Johnson may be this election’s Ralph Nader. They will do their best to prevent that, but they are probably too late. Supporters of Johnson are unlikely to decide to change to Trump or Clinton.

Exactly my thought. If this Johnson guy can get any votes with his 24/7 advertising ( Soros$$?) -— they’ll be mostly from Hilliary — since his politics are close to hers and most of the frustrated Bernie supporters will like his legal weed plank too My guess is that Soros is desperately seeking a way to undermine trump but he’s making a booboo paying for this Johnson guy who’s just too leftist - weedist to pull a lot from trump.

Not a big fan of this candidate anyway, but in reality, Aleppo is not top of mind for most people, the place may be well known to news junkies but I find it ironic that an elitist firing squad has been assembled now over this gaffe, composed of those who believe that riding bicycles can change the weather, or that you can name a new gender before lunch and have it enshrined in the national culture by dinner.
If I were Gary Johnson I would make lemonade out of lemons here and double down, by saying that most Americans don’t care about Aleppo, they care about x y or z in the libertarian wish list (and this is true, whether you want to vote for this man or not).

When I first heard the question asked to Johnson in a news report, I thought to myself what the HELL is Aleppo, then Johnson asked what is Aleppo and I said to myself oh good I am going to find out because he asked!!! I am a news junkie and I had no idea what the reporter was talking about these people are PATHETIC these reporters think FAR TO MUCH of themselves and how intelligent they THINK they are!!!! Johnson IS an idiot and he IS NOT a libratarian, but this question was STUPID!!!
To: onyx
I had no idea what Aleppo is. But the article is right...after months of leftists propping him up in just about every imaginable forum they turned when they saw the polling data.

Johnson & Weed !>>> i don’t think that is fair. i knew aleppo was in syria but axed a question specific to aleppo, i would have the same response. or just do a syria dump, what is you solution to jersey? the question was asked on purpose without context. most times journalists will expound their wisdom on a topic while asking a question. this time not and for a reason gotcha.

The answer is “Allepo”.
Alex, for the daily double and the win, the question is: “What is the name of a dog food made by Purina?”

The fact that Johnson is hurting Hillary is why CNN is going all out to destroy him these past few days.
To: DesertRhino
That all sounds identical to what I’ve heard Trump say previously.

I’m with you Jedi. When reading DR’s post I was thinking the same thing that most if not all I have heard Trump mention as well. Be it, maybe, not with the greatest of eloquence. But when you are in the business of wielding a hammer, eloquence is not a prime factor in getting anything done with it besides wondering how pretty it looks.
The fact is that Trump, using his skills to get the right person for the job at hand, will gather those who are in a position of offering any sort of insight to accomplish driving the nail with said hammer in the most efficient and cost effective way will be heard. All without having to take a toke to calm his nerves.
