“And how do they get respectable careers?/And how will they look when you get older? Utterly ridiculous.”

Getting these moronic tattoos shows that the “individuals” that get them are impulsive like little children and have no regard or ability to think for either the present or future.

“It makes women look slutty/trashy, which may do something for average or below average looking women looking to attract douchebags. For a truly beautiful woman though they do nothing but mar God’s artistry./It’s puerile really, let some dude draw on you with a needle. People started doing it because people have attempted to do every stupid thing that can possibly be imagined, and they keep doing it because they see other people doing it. Humans are dumb animals.”

Amen. I remember ~20 years ago, Angelina Jolie, then new and fresh, was in Maxim magazine with a couple Asian character tats on her. I though “Look at that body, those lips. The tattoos are kinda ok.” But on the other 99.9999% of women that get them, that weren’t/aren’t the same species as AJ? They look like total, complete s**t.

As Neal Boortz used to say, I never saw a woman who was made more beautiful by the addition of a tattoo. Applies even to Angelina Jolie.

Agreed.

The AJ of ~20 years ago with tats is like a Ferrari with dented wheels. It’s a Ferrari, albeit a less perfect Ferrari.

Every generation is different, brother.

Folks do things to set themselves apart. It’s just the way it is.

And the funny thing is - the more they try to be different, the more they end up looking like everyone else of their age group..

We’ve all done it.

“...I also have the right to think they’re ...”

Not disputing that at all. Just a difference of opinion.

One of my Marine uncles had the USMC Bulldog tattooed on his right arm, and the USMC Eagle, Globe, and Fouled Anchor on his left arm. He fought in WWII, all through the Pacific. He was a rough and tumble American through and through.

Same with my old man. He had his AIRBORNE divisional insignia on his right arm, and his CIB on the forearm. He’d fought in Ardennes and Germany, wounded in both locations.

He was pretty damned proud of those tattoos. And he was no “lowlife”. He was one of the toughest people I ever knew in my life, and one of the best Americans I’d ever known.

Most of us have relatives that fought in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietman, etc., Pretty much every able bodied male from every family did what they were asked to do back then. I’m not, nor ever have, referring to them in a derogatory manner.

As far as tattoos go, some of the men who got them like them, some don’t/didn’t. Pretty simple. I descend from the “don’t” group.

Not everything needs to be belabored to a point beyond death. Now I’m remembering why I took a five month break from here...

As I said, buddy... just a difference of opinion.

No harm, no foul.

By law, those vets are the ONLY people entitled to tats. These SJW pussies ? The only tat they should have is on their forehead, “Douchebag.”

Just a difference of opinion, buddy. I don’t have a problem with tats. Never did, never will.

Full-body and face tats look like crap though, I’ll give you that.

” The thing I did that pissed a lot of folks off was becoming a Republican at 12.”

I did that in 1968 when I was 14. NR was a great magazine back then.

“One of the biggest regrets in life my uncle, a Korean War veteran, has is the couple small tats he got while he was an 18 year old back then. That’s all the persuasion I ever needed to never get “inked”.

Ultimately, individuals can do what you want with their bodies. That’s their right. I also have the right to think they’re f***ing idiotic lowlifes for getting “inked”.”

What men do is of no concern to me. Young women, especially really good looking ones, destroy their looks with tats. I would never hire somebody all tatted up, because it shows a strong lack of character.Personally, I hate the f’n things : )
