“Muslim groups have condemned Islamic State’s call for an attack on Australia after the terror group urged followers to conduct lone wolf attacks.
“Any attack on Australia, lone wolf or otherwise, is an attack on Islam and Muslims,” said Keysar Trad, president of Muslims Australia, the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils (AFIC) in a statement on Wednesday.
“Islam is freely practised in Australia and mosques exist in every capital city.
“Muslim Australians consider Australia home and we respect Australia and its people who are all our fellow citizens,” he said.
Mr Trad said the call for violence by IS “is anathema to Islam and its great teachings.”

A speaker at the protest, said they were not there to interfere with security, despite what many believed.

He spoke from the steps of the Lakemba War Memorial, which drew criticism from many on social media.
The Muslim community they were not fools and could see through the spin and propaganda of the Abbott Government who he insisted were seeking to politicise the security situation.
He said history was repeating itself and the Prime Minister was simply following the example set by John Howard in 2005. Tony Abbott doesnt have a creative mind, we know that ...
