I would imagine that the terms of the agreement under which she consented to appear included language that obliged the management of the Convention to use portable curtains and screens to reduce the apparent size of the room to whatever extent would be necessary to make it look as though Hillary was speaking to a full house.

Sorry, from the initial picture (before movable walls were in place) seems this venue was reduced by 2/3rds, not 1/3. A huge difference.
