When you hit your nearest Barnes & Noble, look for “Trains” magazine, the October issue, which I just got in the mail. There’s a good article about how they repair the subway tracks in Boston. It’s not just for the railfan.

We got lots and lots of wind and rain. I guess the ocean got whipped up pretty bad too, but I am a few miles from that.
My metal roof got pelted with acorns from the huge, ancient oak in my yard.
They sounded like “Revelation-sized” hail.

They have extended the commuter rail (purple line) all the way out to my area.
So we have tracks aplenty without having to go into the city! :-)
