Speech codes always turn into full scale repression of any politically unpopular speech. Anything the establishment doesn’t like is labeled “hate”.

"Online hate" being no different than "offline hate", it can only be done by eliminating "online". There's probably a role for restricting severe incitement, and in the US and many western countries supporting terror groups, like Hamas, Hizbollah, ISIS, is already a crime. Largely unprosecuted
