It wasn’t a ‘payment’ - it was just a gift from obama to a bunch of his pals.
Forget the fact that you paid for it with your tax dollars.
0bama has set the stage for Iran as a world power-with nukes.
I wonder what tech he wants to slide to them on his way out.
> Treasury Department spokeswoman Dawn Selak said in a statement the cash payments were necessary because of the effectiveness of U.S. and international sanctions, which isolated Iran from the international finance system.
>
> An initial $400 million of euros, Swiss francs and other foreign currency was delivered on pallets
OK. Since Iran is so effectively isolated what are they going to do with euros, francs, and other foreign currency?
What a weak excuse.
And the story continues to evolve.
A bunch of Democrats need to make public apologies to Ronald Reagan visa vie Iran-Contra.
That was peanuts compared to this.
"In a 2014 New Yorker interview, Obama said his goal was to create a 'new equilibrium' in the Middle East.
In the short run, at least, his signature diplomatic undertaking can be counted on to bring more violence to this volatile region.
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, as the [Obama-Putin Iran deal] agreement is formally known, provides the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism an infusion of somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 billion of unfrozen assets and a great deal more of continuing revenues as businesses and governments around the world rush to profit from oil-and-gas-rich Iran's reintegration into the world economy.
The agreement relaxes the international isolation of the Islamic Republic and ratifies Tehran's status as a nuclear threshold state. And it relieves restrictions on Iran's acquisition of weapons, including ballistic missiles. ..."

I thought those guys didn’t believe in interest.
And people wonder why Netanyahu is taking his chances with Russia’s Putin.
Treason by any other name remains ... treason
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Iran had no banking problems when shopping all over Europe for rainy day items - before or after the first pallets of cash. So please, Zero, don’t insult us again with any more bald-faced lying that Iran just absolutely had to be paid in cash because they didn’t have a freaking bank. We may be busy hard at work to provide all those greenbacks you’re tossing around like candy, but we still can see a con job from a mile away.
This is nothing short of treason.
Obama is making sure that there will be a war involving Iran and the USA in the near future.
Hey Republicans, when is it considered high treason?
With this, we see very clearly why Hillary keeps bringing up imaginary collusion between Trump and Putin (on the flimsy basis that Putin said something about Trump).
The Democrats are engaging in open treason. Hillary’s entire campaign against Trump is to try to make people see him as worse and more dangerous than the Democrats. Everything is projection, with the Democrats. And our uneducated populace keeps falling for their lies.
Pray this doesn’t blow up in our faces.
A lot of good it has done. Iran continues to harass the US Navy:
Obama’s presidential library is planned for Tehran.
Like Levin says: He’s financing terror via Iran. But what the hey, supporting terror is pretty much all he’s done these past 8 years all with the full consent of congress. But Trump is the bad guy, right?
Pardon my naiveté, but where in the hell did the $ come from? Isn’t, by law, all spending appropriated by (gag) Congress?
Does the president really have a ‘stash’? More to the point, do OTHER presidents have a stash? (not just this jug-eared lawless one?)
Why 1.7 billion?
