Oldest red herring in the book. Warming is good for the environment. There is not one plant or animal that does not do better at warmer temperatures. The most northerly polar bear populations are a great example, thriving despite up to 10% rates of hunting because they are able to shorten their hibernation for a few weeks.
The goal of the media and alarmists is to lump the very numerous "luke-warmers" like Curry with the very small fringe of science that claims that colder objects (the atmosphere) cannot warm warmer objects (the earth) which is true. But they are ignoring the fact that the colder object is in front of a much colder object so the earth becomes less cold because of it (e.g. cloudy nights are warmer, humid nights are warmer, etc.)
The temperature rises cause more snow in Antarctica. That’s starting to happen already even with no real warming down there.
