The leaders of EU heavyweights Germany and France on Friday called for a new push to invigorate the bloc after Britain’s shock Brexit vote.

Twenty-seven EU leaders will meet without Britain in Slovakia on September 16 and France’s François Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a joint statement that a “new impulse” was required.

“With Brexit and the rise of populism and even questions on the very idea of Europe, a new impulse is needed for the European Union,” they said. “France and Germany will assume their responsibilities” to do this, they added. …

Let’s add this up. Hollande is pulling around 9-percent in the Presidential polls and can’t place in the final two election in April. He’s finished.

Merkel is now disliked by 50-to-60 percent of Germans, and won’t be running for re-election in November 2017’s election in Germany. In fact, it’ll be hard for her party to pull 22-percent nationally in Germany (without the CSU Bavarian folks).

So the EU party is mostly over, and those folks still hyped up can chat all they want....but there’s just not much left to get excited about.

Indeed. Resign tomorrow and let saner leaders do the job. The first step being the dismantling of the current EU tyrannical structures.
