Well geez mr. wizard, why don’t you just declare the entire pacific ocean a preserve? I mean who needs that steenkin’ congress anyway?

more like a 'Luddite' More like a traitor opening the gates for the enemy.
OK, "conservationist", how 'bout you lay down on your "beloved" prairie while I just stampede a couple hundred bison your way? Oh--that will leave a mark (but not much more...).

He’s just trying to press all the pre-election buttons. For some few surviving elders, “FDR” is a dog-whistle and a rally cry.
To: Nachum
Less like “conservation” and more like “confiscation”. I understand his confusion.

The National Monument scam must be brought to an end. It's like they are competing to see who can make more of America off limits to citizens.
No way that a President should have declarative power, not subject to review of approval, to alter land use in this way.
Coming soon to a place near home (if you live in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, etc.).
A lot of this is revenge for these places voting against him.
Trump should make Central Park a National Monument and take control of it away from the City of New York. Hey, it's the last wild space on the island!

How positively marxist of him. Like the fedgov doesn’t lord over enough real estate as it is.
Outside of military and critical infrastructure, the feds shouldn’t own or control ANY real property outside of their patch of land as alloted by the states, otherwise known as the District of Columbia.
Even then, the feds should only be allowed to LEASE property in the states, and the state have final say on terms of said lease arrangements.

Teddy Roosevelt’s petrified crap is to be more admired than Obama - and I say that AFTER losing a lot of my respect for him because he was the first “progressive” President.
