Peña Nieto said Trumps proposal to end free trade agreements and deport millions of immigrants are a danger to Mexico. Imagine what that represents, and tell me it is not a risk to Mexico, he said.
...
In the interview Wednesday night, Peña Nieto defended his decision to meet with Trump, which he said was important given the close economic and cultural ties of the U.S. and Mexico. The president said he thought he had helped change Trumps views on at least one point: free trade agreements.
While Trump has said in the past that he would leave the North American Free Trade Agreement if elected, on Wednesday, the candidate told reporters in Mexico City that he supported a renegotiation of the deal.
I appreciate the change in tone, Peña Nieto said.

In an opinion piece published Thursday morning in the newspaper El Universal, Peña Nieto again sought to explain why he invited Trump to Mexico.
In his campaign speeches, Trump has not treated us as partners or as allies, thanks to a distorted vision of Mexico and its people, he said. This is why it was important to talk to him and clarify that future dialogue between the two countries needs to start from a place of mutual respect.
I am convinced that the bigger the differences, the more dialogue is needed, he said. Trumps reaction to his points on that issue, he said, was positive.

It matters not what you think Senor.
That’s not what I heard at their press conference...
I wouldn’t click on that link. LA Times of the enemy to any freedom loving American.
Mexico our biggest welfare recipient in the name of social justice. Chickens coming home to roost you liars and thieves.
Just imagine. We might have to take about our 30-40 million.
Oh the huge manatees.
Well what the hell do you think it means for the USA??? And they are YOUR PEOPLE!!!
If so many of America’s factories and jobs have moved to Mexico, then I’m sure the employable deportees can find work. It would appear that Mexico is booming. If there are so many of them that are unemployable, then I fail to see why America should look after them.
After Trump is elected I may let him mow my lawn, but probably not, as Mexicans are implicated in many burglaries and robberies where I live, and he is just too much of a threat due to his inability to obey Western norms and standards.
Good.
Mexico has a future? When did that happen?
If we can’t send the dregs of our society to America, we’ll collapse even faster.
So...if you can’t rape and pillage America that is a threat to the future of your nation?
Glad you cleared that up. We will be sure to remember that.
When it bought off the Uniparty into allowing Mexico to become a parasite living off the USA
Because Mexico is a giant tick that can only survive by sucking the blood out of its northern neighbor?
Because you are neither.
Now pull those weeds and earn your keep.
That lawn ain't gonna mow itself!
No friggin’ kidding. Sending Mexicans back to Mexico is a danger to Mexico? Huh? Don’t they belong in Mexico?
In other words, we went to a lot of trouble shipping all of the Mexican criminals up to your border rather than deal with them in Mexico, and now you want US to deal with our own degenerates?
John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
I know the context is different, but the message should be the same.
Illegals are nothing more than thieves and robbers.
I think both heard what they wanted to hear, not necessarily what the other was saying.
