Donald Trump on Wednesday night said the sole path to US citizenship is to enter the country legally — and outlined what amounted to a vast deportation program of millions of illegal immigrants.
“There will be no amnesty. Our message to the world will be this: You cannot obtain legal status or become a citizen of the United States by illegally entering our country,” Trump roared during his long-awaited speech in Arizona on immigration policy.
“Anyone who entered the United States illegally is subject to deportation.”
There was speculation ahead of the address that Trump might moderate his views to broaden his appeal.
Instead, he served up a king-sized slab of blood-red prime rib.
The only way for illegal immigrants to live here legally would be to return to their home countries and apply to enter the United States legally, he said.
Trump again vowed to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it, and said his first priorities would be to deport illegals who have criminal records or are on public

Anything short of deportation is defacto amnesty.
California needs to have the millions of illegals who have flooded this state removed.
Americans need to quit feeling sorry for illegal alien sob stories and understand that they are a great burden for ordinary Americans who have had their neighborhoods turned into gang ridden alien country. Put America first for once.

Agreed, but Trump didn’t quite take the position they claim. He emphasized the priority deportations, said everyone is subject to deportation, but he also said we must wait a few years to decide what to do next after the cycle of illegal immigration is broken.
That is exactly what Trump is doing. It is unfortunate millions of American just do not understand this man. Trump for President.
I caught that too. He was nuancing and did it well. Quite frankly, real world circumstances will allow some compromises. But the Art of the Deal negotiations on this matter will state otherwise. :-)
It's sad that things have gotten to the point where this is even controversial. Debating whether illegals should be deported is the equivalent of debating whether shoplifters should be arrested.

Illegals who are not outright deported will not get gov bennies, and find work difficult as E-Verify is actually going to be implemented. With no $, millions will self deport.

The transcript show the questioning went no deeper than what Trump described last night in his, as you describe it, policy speech. So apparently you're spinning so hard you've gotten dizzy.

They won’t be able to hid behind fake polls much longer.
Fact is, the majority of Americans HATE the open borders, tens upon tens of millions of illegals including massive numbers of criminals, “refugees”, mohammedans and third worlders living on gov bennies and taking jobs.
I never thought I’d see this happening.
And it got there largely due to the Bushes. The father who wouldn’t implement the enforcement provisions of Reagan’s 1986 Amnesty, intended to discourage new waves of illegals. And his no borders idiot of a son who openly subverted immigration law and tried to ram amnesty through. By leaving millions of illegals in the US after his term he left Obama with the alien army that he is now trying to legalize.
Illegals aren’t entitled to government bennies now but they sure get them, Anchor Babies being one of the prime tools. Plus there are thousands of food banks and private charities that funnel all sorts of free stuff to illegals.
Many illegals work off the books for cash so e-Verify won’t slow them down one bit.
