FINALLY we have a candidate who's going for broke!
For twenty-five years we've had candidates who's attitude has been "if we muddy the waters on policy enough, maybe some people will vote for us" - with the expected result - electoral losses or bare wins.
Instead we have the spirit of Barry Goldwater: "Those who join us in all sincerity we welcome. Those who do not favor our cause, we don't expect to enter our ranks in any case."
I'm sure there was a collective clutching of pearls in the swanky "beltway."
We need to win and win big
Yeah, it was bold colors galore last night. I’m looking forward to the media reaction today.
He’s going to be a great president.
which speech? why? video link?
I am guessing the “reaction” was determined before the speech.
Minutes after the speech, I began flipping channels and did so off and on for a couple of hours (between fiddling around on social media).
There was a theme on EVERY channel.
1) Trump offered no specifics. (Oh gimme a break, he was more specific than any candidate in 30 years combined).
2) It was divisive.
3) It was made only to energize the farthest right wing of his followers.
4) This will turn off many latinos.
5) This does nothing to help minorities.
6) He didn’t state how Mexico would pay for it.
7) He looked like a foul mouth and not a statesman.
8) This is too complicated an issue for someone without years of government experience to solve. (really?)
I’m not sure I am missing any, but above is what I heard over and over, and I thought “did any of these people on these shows even watch the speech?”, because I really don’t think they did, I think they were handed talking point memo’s before the speech, and just spit out what they were supposed to.
The speech was a grand-slam on social media, I will tell you that much.
THAT was a presidential / leaders speech!
Man up!
I do not even watch tv news any more. I watch Trump’s speeches on http://www.donaldtrump2016online.com/?m=1 and read Free Republic, Conservative Tree House, Drudge & Breitbart.
Worst of all was “Campaign Carl” yappng about no specifics. He officially used up his title in that pathetic “superior” analysis. Bolling did not call him out on it at the time but Bolling did say later that Trump was very detailed.
Going forward, it will be interesting to see if Trump finally calls out this charlatan of a journalist at a subsequent news conference.
Right, they’re going to try to contain and minimize the speech. They’re also going to be freaking out some, and that should be detectable. He completely upended one of their main themes of the last couple weeks.
yeah, I saw the Campaign Carl bit, he’s such an ass, I’m sure he didn’t see the speech.
I thought Bolling did a great job, he is the only reason I can stand the five (for about 5 minutes, then it has to go off as soon as Dana or Gutfeld open their mouths. I can even take Juan, because I know he’s a partisan, he’s not a concern troll like the other two).
And I prefer the Factor (the only time I can really watch the whole thing) when Bolling is sitting in.
Sounds like you stole my “bookmarks” list. :) Cheers!
The entire country knew it was a grand slam, but the Hillary/Stalinist Propaganda media is working in concert with the criminal regime in the White House to rig the election which is why they keep issuing these fake polls and keep downplaying Trump and why Hillary is barely campaigning.
While trashing trump on the same deficiencies you listed, Campaign Carl let it slip yesterday that he just got off the phone with john podesta (hildabeast campaign mgr).
so it was very obvious that the DNC rapid response team was “johnny” on the spot with getting their talking points out on the street.
Starting with witless campaign carl.
The entire media complex (apparently including Fox) seem more interested in trying to please one another with their reactions than they are in exercising some actual thought on the matter. Trump’s speech was strong and forceful—two things the world hasn’t seen in an American president in eight (or more years). The press is not used to hearing straight, blunt talk. They don’t know what to do with it when they hear it.
This morning at the FoxNews site, there’s a column saying how Trump’s speech last night was fantasy. I guess the suggestion is that a nation can no longer insist on its sovereignty.
Here’s the link:

It was such a good speech, my eyes welled up pretty good when he brought the Angel Mom’s out, and when the crowd started chanting U..S..A
Sick of politicians telling me I’m racist because I love my own country.
Go Trump!
Bingo!
One of the first things Trump needs to do is address the mess in our educational system with its pollitcally correct, corrupt anti-Amercan agenda. This really shouldn’t even BE close. It should be a blow out. We have a choice between a patriotic, successful businessman, and a lying, criminal who can barely climb a flight of stairs and whose policies have made a mess of America and the world. Only a class of voters brainwashed by an educational system warped beyond belief could be boosting Hillary Clinton to the extent she has been.
Campaign Carl is UNWATCHABLE!!!!! He’s a LYING DEMOCRAT....probably GAY! Of COURSE he wants Hilliary to win.
