The talking heads (including Hill) who think that a presidential candidate should do hardline negotiating with a foreign head of state prior to being elected, have no clue what they are talking about.

And Hillary and Company needs to get it straight - Tweeting out Trump ‘failed’ after a single meeting is contradictory to Hillary’s admonishing tweet that relationships require ‘multiple’ nicey-nicey meetings before hardline negotiating. Can’t have it both ways. And nobody’s buying it.

After watching this whole brouhaha trying to set the narrative to diminish Trump, the campaign led by he himself with steady advice from Steven and Kellyanne, are actually setting the narrative while the left is hyperventilating trying to set the next distraction.

The amazing this is the left is being played to their weaknesses and I think his strategy has Steven written all over it tacked by guidance through his study of the left.

If you notice, they lend to the left’s current narrative by not stating the details of their immigration plan other than to keep repeating that they will enforce the laws. By canceling the expected speech on Thursday, they lend into the pins and needles the left is setting on ready to pounce once the expected “force” plan is announced, so they just continue to chatter about it raising the awareness of when it is finally given.

For most in the chattering class, they do not know what the laws are or are unwilling to report them. They will be forced to admit what the laws are when the Trump campaign finally comes out with their plan and cites actual statutes which gives the left nowhere to go but to again try to lie about it. But, most will be forced to see the truth, again.

In the pond fishing world, they call that hook, line and sinker.

I haven’t listened to his show in years. I read the articles on him here at the FR. I think he is just a radio charlatan, not as bad as Beck. I think he makes predictions everyday about something, and then when one of them comes to pass he claims that he predicted it. I think he is an operative of the GOP.

Trump yesterday and for days, months and a year or more running, has played the RINOs, Dems & MSM like a fiddle!

They all swore that Trump has/will pivot and be no more that Jeb Version 2.0 as per his NEWLY hatched immigration policies!

They salivated yesterday after his Mexico visit and salivated more just waiting to tell US true believers how we’ve been had by Trump!

I am getting the impression that the media are acting like a fish on a hook: first twisting this way, and then that way (”Hey! Trump is bad because...”). However, nothing seems to work.

Trump reminds us of the ultimate intelligent fly fisher, who knows the waters and his targets. He casts the attractor fly, moves it blatantly around in their home waters. The attractor fly makes them very angry. They lose control and strike his fly in anger.

Then, he sets the hook and brings them in with the fly hooked in their gaping/stupid lips flopping around in full view of the tv cameras.

After landing them for the world to see them with his hook in their gaping/bleeding mouth, he rips his hook out of their lips and lets them go! They go flopping away leaving a blood and scum trail in their home water. Think of Jeb during the primaries.

He does this without paying a nickel for tv ads. Then he gets great free PR!

And that’s how a Master Persuader runs in two directions at the same time. It was masterfully done. I give Trump’s speech an A+ for persuasion. Trump won the week. His poll numbers should move up again next week.

Also, Trump stuck the landing by engineering what I call the reverse-Khan. He surrounded himself with the families of victims of illegal immigrants so that any criticism of his policies will feel uncomfortably close to insulting those grieving families.
