An excellent question.

States created Fedzilla not the other way around.

This is very important, too bad it's essentially glossed over to make it obscure and pretend its irrelevance. (Much like what the legal profession has done with both presentments and jury nullification.)

So, why do we even bother with governors, state legislatures, or, for that matter, elections?

Clearly, it doesn't matter what is supported by the voters and passed into law if Sotomayor & co. Disagree with it.
