LOL! Yes ... the exceptions all seem to come out of military aviation. I got to spend some time on the ramp with a bunch of F-18s. Hearing protection (plugs and muffs) is a definite necessity.

Ever heard a Hawker 748? Not as loud, but the gawdawful screech is more annoying.
