Downing Street says tech giant 'welcome' to come to UK after EU orders Ireland to claw back £11bn

Britain could cut corporation tax to attract major international companies under plans being considered by Theresa May after Apple was hit with a record tax bill by Brussels.

Downing Street yesterday said it would "welcome" Apple to the UK after the European Commission took the extraordinary step of hitting the company with an £11billion fine.

In a damning report published yesterday, the commission found that a deal with Ireland meant the technology giant paid as little as 0.005 per cent tax on its European profits for more than a decade.

"The Commission’s move is unprecedented and it has serious, wide-reaching implications. It is effectively proposing to replace Irish tax laws with a view of what the Commission thinks the law should have been. This would strike a devastating blow to the sovereignty of EU member states over their own tax matters, and to the principle of certainty of law in Europe. Ireland has said they plan to appeal the Commission’s ruling and Apple will do the same. We are confident that the Commission’s order will be reversed. We now find ourselves in the unusual position of being ordered to retroactively pay additional taxes to a government that says we don't owe them any more than we've already paid."
-Apple CEO Tim Cook

Should Apple abandon proud EU-member Ireland for Britain?

The Eurocrats want to tax the deep pockets to support their beloved Afro-Islamic rapefugees they have invited into Europe. Guess what, no one would give a shxt to a dying culture.

The Eurocrats running the EU are corrupt. That's one reason the UK voted to Brexit and leave. The leaders of the EU have no transparency, make arbitrary rules out of thin air and no one knows who is running the show. Something like this is what Hillary and her cohorts have planned for the USA. Problem for the UK is that it will take a while to untangle itself from the EU. Unknown if they can get Apple to move from Ireland to England because of the EU entanglements. But Apple will be able to stall the EU for several years until moving to England is feasible. In the meantime, they can begin pulling out of Europe and let the EU wither in its death spiral.

The European Commission aka, the Politbureau...

Can’t say I feel real sorry for Timmy - given that these are the people he supports that are screwing him from behind.

I feel zero sympathy for the queer geeks at Apple. They consistently force their degenerate and repressive political agenda on everyone in the US by financing their proxies, the Marxocrats, then they go abroad to prop up tyrannical regimes, like China and the Eurozone. Just like Gates suffered with governmental targeting of Microsoft, even as he ignorantly supported his bestest buddy, Buffett, the big government shill, its simple justice to see the pervert Cook and his minions take in the shorts, since they deserve every sick thing to come their way.

Like to see how the Free Traitors spin this one.

Their choice was to pay a little in gold now or pay a lot in blood later, and this time at least they made the right choice. The USA has been picking the former and paying with a river of exported factories and jobs.

Apple’s presence in Ireland was predicated upon the incentives offered. For the EU to come in after the fact and say, no, that was not legal over a decade later and attempt to charge Apple with billions in back taxes plus interest, based upon some taxation scheme than was never applied and never considered, is wrong. I would not be surprised to see Apple leave Ireland, if this is allowed to stand.
