Of course we can do this...
Why should the courts be involved, if the person is here illegaly? The media will do as their paymasters tell them. Mexico? Let them eat cake.
Look at the immigrants from past years. The fathers or mothers came here, legally, then “SPONSORED” the rest of the family to come here legally. If the American kids are of legal age, they can possibly sponsor their family to reenter legally. (If the law so states.
Okay, how do we verify how many years they have been in the country illegally? Allowing illegals to stay with only a fine only encourages more illegal immigration.
I am so looking forward to each and every scenario you painted.
I am going to relish the ‘bloody’ fight over all those sad sack stories and countless more that will be dredged up by the news media.
I believe the American people are sick and tired of this illegal alien problem and will crush those who stand in the way of it being solved and finally off the news.
All we ever needed was a leader like Eisenhower and someone to carry out the mission to free America of this scourge.
And as a bonus, the news media will suffer another black eye and more lost readers.
Yeah, I thought I’d read this before. Dated July 2010. The neighbors must be tired of hearing Roger howling at the moon for the past 6 years.
Another Operation Wetback, though, would also require the abolition of a little-known but byzantine and powerful agency within the Department of Justice formally termed the Executive Office for Immigration Review and commonly referred to as the EOIR. The agency was created in 1983 through an internal DOJ reorganization, essentially establishing Immigration Courts independent of the INS.
Since the EOIR was created by an "internal DOJ reorganization" it can be just as easily abolished by a new Attorney General and/or Presidential Executive Order (EO). At that point, enforcing existing law will do the trick.
I’ve never understood the whole “We can’t deport 12 million people argument” even if it’s true. What it’s implying is that since we cannot deport ALL illegals, we should not deport ANY illegals. Such “logic” is absurd. We cannot imprison all robbers, so should we just let those we do catch go
free? Even if it’s true that we can’t get all 12 million deported, that is no reason to not deport the ones we do catch.
Come on, you know liberals have no logic!
Of course any efforts to deport illegals must be accompanied by increased border security. When the ship is taking on water you need to plug the leak or it won’t matter how fast you can bail out the water. Rounding up 12 million illegals won’t do any good if 12 million more sneak in to replace them.

You will have to prove, before a judge, that each and every one is here “illegally”. You do understand how a determined lawyer can keep things in motion for months by filing one petition after another?
And, you just can’t tell Mexico to eat cake. Do you want to drive those buses/trucks loaded with illegals into Mexico? How you going to do that if Mexico won’t let the buses/trucks cross the border?

I certainly agree that this portion of the law is abused and should be changed. However, that doesn’t change the fact that those sponsored ones are here legally.

Describe your strategy to win those scenarios.
In a way I already did that in my post.
Like most of Trumps proposals, it’s quite simple and I’m sure that’s all part of his plan.
Public support for Trumps approach, and public pressure on government officials to make sure these deportations are carried out, will make short work of taking down what is primarily the news medias (not the general publics) objection.
I’m sure you want specific plans to disparage.
Make them up yourself.
As an employer, I’m required to keep on file, an I-9 form verifying the employee is authorized to work in the US. The fines range from $375 to $16,000 per violation, with repeat offenders receiving penalties, at the higher end. Penalties for substantive violations, which includes failing to produce a Form I-9, range from $110 to $1,100 per violation.
Point is, the laws are already on the books. Instead of hunting down 9-12 million illegals, start fining a few dozen employers with maximum penalties. Wallah, “no workee, no stayee”. If you are here illegally, you receive no benefits, drivers liscence, no health care, etc.
It sounds harsh but if your children are citizens and you’re not, that’s a problem created by you and not me.
Yep. Illegal aliens and their employers know that they can get away with it because the laws aren’t enforced.
The fact is, you need nothing of the sort to get rid of most illegals, at least the most troublesome ones. Illegals get intercepted by Law Enforcement all the time for things other than immigration offenses - from traffic violations to violent felonies. These can be deported on the spot (unless their felonies are such that they require long-term incarceration or execution). This creates an environment where other illegals and would-be illegals realize that they'll be next if they ever slip up. Combine this with making it impossible for illegals to obtain various social services, and fining employers who higher illegals stiffer penalties, and those who aren't deported will mostly leave on their own accord. And better still, prospective illegals will think twice about coming here to begin with.
Just start imposing civil forfeiture on illegals for everything they have earned while here illegally and stand clear of the exits as they self deport.

You’re really underestimating the power of the visual media.
Picture this scene.
The Deportation Squad arrives and kicks in the door. They drag a woman and her two screaming kids to a van. The media compares this to Hitler’s brown shirt goons.
The next shot is of a courthouse where another federal judge has ruled that the Department of Deportations must prove that the woman and each of her kids are illegals. (Note, she doesn’t have to prove citizenship.) The judge further rules that each illegal deserves their own lawyer, at taxpayer expense, and their own hearing.
The final shot is of the buses stranded at the border. The media explains that those on the bus are continuing their hunger strikes and that Mexico still refuses to let these buses cross citing a UN resolution that the deportations are a gross violation of human rights.
None of that will be effective enough to stop this movement.
Watch.
