They have to show it sort of close or their audiences would lose interest.

If one is shown miles ahead, that could elicit sympathy for the one behind. They certainly do no want to portray Clinton as waaaaaaaaaay behind.

The polls are relatively meaningless anyway at this stage. After the debates, it will be much more significant.

Clinton sort of reminds me of Kerry 2004. Neither have much in the way of personality, pizzaz, sparkle, excitement, accomplishments. Yet, in 2004, Kerry almost pulled out an upset. Many in the media actually thought he did — until the actual results started coming in.

I think the white working class, many of whom are crossover Dems, and any minority voters he successfully woos will secure him a win, not a huge win, but a clear win.

I think pre Labor Day polls are meaningless!

Following the tracking polls in 2012 and this year, the general pattern is that the Republicans gain the lead during and immediately after the Republican convention, the Democrats gain the lead during and immediately after the Democrat convention, and then the polls revert to their original standing as "normal" people pay attention to women's beach volleyball.

After Labor Day "normal people" will begin to pay attention to the election.

Anyone notice Farage’s remarks about polls? He said Brexit was losing by 10 points in the polls (may have really been slightly less than 10) but they won big. It was people in the rural areas and north and working class who probably weren’t being counted. Same thing is operating here.

This is the same as tossing quarters and constantly hitting an even number of heads and tails.

The difference is that they didn’t have the Black Community behind them like Trump has:

The Democrats have a proven GOTV mechanism deployed in swing states. The GOPe not so much. Old fashion politics is still in play and Trump does not seem to be getting much serious support from the party. Throw in the possibility of fraud and you get a scenario where the Democrat surges the last weeks of the campaign.

Been a long time since a blowout.<

2008 was a blowout. Obama won by 10 million votes and he had an electoral margin of 365-173. Obama 52.86% to McCain's 45.60%.

The only way it can go is “I’m sure as hell not voting for Hillary. Let’s hear what Trump has to say.”

I fact she's turning off her base rather than sprking it to support her.

another reason why her trainers are only trotting her out once a week.

First, if these numbers are in a national poll you must remember that the numbers from a couple of large blue states like CA and NY skew the results.

If you remove those numbers and recalculate you will find Trump with a much higher poll number and Hillary with a much smaller one.

Precisely why the Founding Fathers designed the electoral college in the first place.

Trump Tsunami on the way.

“McCain and Romney both gave up in September.”

WRONG! They were both paid to take a dive!

Polls drive news and revenue. Bet they are desperate since Trump not spending any money. My eye is on what they plan to do with exit surveys. Romney had the election stolen, in my opinion, and the media covered it up by opting several weeks before the election to not do exit surveys. Avoided disparities between the exit poll and precinct votes. Wonder what happens this year?

Personality is the least of her problems. I agree with Newt that “we haven’t even seen 10% of what we are gonna learn in September, she is going to drown under the impact.”

You left out Mr Bill's shill Ross Perot. A book written by a State Police security guy of Clinton said he took calls for Clinton form Perot and vice versa.

Can you imagine the panic in the HILLARY camp after the epic fail of the KKK ALT speech? What kind of desperation was that? They haven’t quite caught on that Trump has exposed their empty buzzwords as nothing more than...words...it’s as though everybody knows it except them. They’re in total denial. It’s very funny.

Well its so obvious that the media HAS to fabricate this neck and neck auto type of race, three laps to go type of drama to keep their viewers glued to the advertisers during commercial breaks its sickening.

Not even the most hard core Hillary supporter belives its a virtual tie, they are TOLD its a virtual tie the same as if they were North Koreans and their officials fear that if they knew the truth they would leave or attempt to leave.

The polls are PROPAGANDA. THE REAL POOLS are brushed aside, if the lie is told often enough no matter its size it becomes the truth.

I think you’re onto something. Human behavior is rarely so precisely predictable.
