COLUMBIA — U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham praised his former GOP presidential primary opponent, Republican nominee Donald Trump, for an improved showing this week, saying he could turn the tide on Hillary Clinton amid the email scandal that continues to plague the Democrat.
“Trump is doing better in the last week,” Graham said Wednesday. “Her email scandal with the Clinton Foundation I think is a game-changer. If he could overcome his image of not having the temperament and judgments for the job, he would actually win.”
Graham made the comment after he and fellow South Carolina congressional delegation members U.S. Reps. Tom Rice, Mark Sanford and Joe Wilson wrapped up a panel conversation on business-related issues hosted by the S.C. Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation members said more Washington gridlock is on tap this fall until after the elections, despite lingering major budget and infrastructure issues. “It will be an astoundingly unproductive fall as it relates to the Congress,” said Sanford, R-Mount Pleasant. “We have these big issues that are looming, and we’re nearing a point of financial reckoning that I think will be astounding and will have major implications.”

Going as expected. Zero support for Trump from the GOPe but they don’t want their fingerprints on a potential Trump loss. It would not suprrise me at all to see the week before the election National Review and Grahamnesty types “endorsing” Trump. Too little, too late.
After months of campaigning to depress support for Trump to the benefit of CINC Hillary and her SCOTUS I really don’t care what these GOP types say/do.
If it looks like Trump is going to win, the establishment is gonna get behind him.
