FWIW, Lakeland, FL's main sponsor in the 1920s Florida land rush was a man named Julius T. Horney; the side road to get to the Tigers spring training camp there is named Julius T. Horney Dr.
In return, the townspeople offered to name the town after him, Horneytown. To the relief of many future generations, his humility would not allow it, so it became Lakeland instead--but one of the lakes is named Lake Horney to this day, though there is a petition to change the name because of its titillating effect.
