A deputy of Hakan Fidan, head of Turkeys National Intelligence Organization (MİT) met with high level Syrian intelligence officials in Damascus, As-Safir claimed.
The meetings reportedly focused on recent developments in northern Syria, reported the daily basing its story on credible sources.
The alleged visit by the Turkish intelligence official to Damascus came a day after Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım gave warm messages acknowledging a role for Syrian President Bashar Assad during a transitional period in Syria.

Russian sources also report the Turks conducting air strikes against both ISIS and the Kurds in N.Syria. This needs verification, but again, this fits the situation.
I had some direct dealings with MIT in the late 1990’s. Truly scary people. We had been issued badges at the Army base we visited, so when we got to the MIT facility, we asked if we needed badges. The lead guy looked me straight in the face and said, “Badges? We don’t need no stinking badges!”
