I see this as one of the evil side-effects of our corrupted monetary system.
We have a totally fiat, unbacked currency and a Central Bank that can monetize any amount of government debt, manipulate interest rates to zero, bail-out insiders, and allow their member banks to create debt through fractional reserves.
This means the left can run all of its social engineering schemes because it has control over the creation and supply of money.
