I believe they cooked up the story in advance about the internet video being the cause of the attack. Hillary had invited representatives of 26 governments and four international organizations to Washington D.C. in December 12-14, 2011. It was to implement United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution (UNHRC) 16/18 on Combating Intolerance, Negative Stereotyping and Stigmatization of, and Discrimination, Incitement to Violence and Violence Against, Persons Based on Religion or Belief. By tying internet criticism of Islam to the Benghazi attacks, she was working to begin the first steps in censoring speech on the internet.
That's easy to believe since the Cairo embassy was tweeting apologies for it 10 or 12 hours before the attack in Benghazi...
