I, too, am very wary of Gingrich. Because of stuff he has said and done in the past, liken him to McCain, in some respects, but smarter. Still, Trump can gain from his knowledge and point of view. If Gingrich is an “enemy,” I think it’s good for Trump to keep him close.
But you see, when you have a guy like Newt, keeping him close simply gives him more credence when he stabs you in the back. It causes folks to trust him.
You can see it here. Folks use every excuse in the book to defend him doing what he does that hurts us. “Oh, Newt is really good for us. Why he...” Bla bla bla bla...
He’s a backstabber.
