I am never really comfortable with clerics endorsing political candidates
but I certainly do agree with Rev. Falwell, and maybe there are extreme times (like this, imho) when everybody, including clerics, have a duty to speak out?

Falwell is not clergy. He is the President of Liberty University.
Falwell is one of the few ‘big name’ Christian leaders I trust. Dobson and the focus on the family org is another one. Many of the other big name, push the ‘prosperity’ message...it sure works for them...15 wealthiest ministeres...

Jerry Falwell Jr. is not a clergyman. He is by training a lawyer, and the Chancellor of Liberty University.
His younger brother Rev.Jonathan Falwell replaced his father as Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
They also have a sister, Dr. Jeannie Falwell Savas, who is a surgeon. i have no idea of her politics. For that matter, i don't know who Jonathan Fallwell supports, though i have a pretty good idea.
