Most Americans who immigrated to the U.S. support Donald Trumps call for a temporary immigration ban from some countries, along with other proposals that appear to view foreigners with suspicion, according to a new Morning Consult poll.
The online survey, conducted after Trump unveiled his national security platform on Monday, shows that the views of immigrants and descendants of recent immigrants do not differ much from those of the general electorate.

Yes, but it upset the political elite and various left wing supported victim groups so that’s all that matters.

Yes
I can well imagine the LEGAL immigrants do not look too kindly on the illegals.
The illegals make them all bad.
And yes, some immigrants SHOULD be viewed with suspicion.
Like all those men abandoning their families to *immigrate* to the US as *refugees*.
But, but..the MSM keeps telling me that they hate Trump!
I think we need a 7 year moratorium on legal immigration from ALL countries because of all the illegals. I also read somewhere that 80% of the legal immigrants get on our government dole when they get here. No way should this be happening. The U.S. is being looted by the whole world IMO.
Years ago, I was on a Bangkok to Osaka (KIX) flight. Just before the plane landed, I looked at all the passengers and concluded 90% or more were Japanese.
Since I had a resident permit, I could go through either the Japanese or the foreign immigration line and concluded "90% Japanese, foreign line is faster."
Well, after seeing them give the Thais on the plane some close questioning (show us how money you brought, an invitation letter from the company you are visiting, itinerary, etc.), I quickly decided to move over to the Japanese line. Longer, for sure, but mostly just stamping passports and saying "Welcome home."
A test is good. But we need a muslim ban or at least a country of origin defacto muslim ban.
Has Trump gone squishy on that? or is it still part of his platform?
I haven’t heard him walk it back. They are just responding to a line in his proposal.
Pretty much everyone supports it excepts jihadists and their lib-Dem bedfellows.
The HOLY SPIRIT IS TAKING AWAY THE DECEPTION!
