Some pills are bitter pills, but I firmly believe we have a fighting chance in this one. The last two times, I’m convinced that McCain and Romney threw their elections. McCain with his ‘suspension of campaign’ over the financial markets. Romney when he went into ‘rope-a-dope’ after the Benghazi debate with Candi Crowley.
Now, both are almost openly cheering for Clinton. That should suggest where their loyalties were all along.
I cringed during the primaries when Michael Medved said Trump can’t win, and that was why he was against him. I’ve talked to plenty of “non-republicans” that love Trump. I think he has fired up a new breed of “Reagan Democrats”. I think that if he can “distance himself” from the republican party, he may get a LOT of Sanders voters as well as Blacks and Hispanics, and even Jews.
i.e. I’ve always thought that if he got the nomination he was as good as elected. and I said that when going to the bitter end with Cruz and even becoming a nevertrumper.
And to be clear, one reason was Hillary’s health. It’d going down even faster than I expected. It’s not going to go away. It’ll get a lot worse as an issue.
The previous two Designated Losers had no intention of winning.
They were simply to give the illusion of choice.
