If the media can strangle Trump by terrorizing people about everything he says, then it's already over. I'm inclined to think Americans hate the media too much for that to work, but even sensible people can't think straight in the middle of one of these hate campaigns. It can be very difficult for people to overcome whatever meaning the press superimposes on what someone has said, no matter how psychotic. Throw in incessant repetition and uniform agreement among the pundits (Hillary cheerleaders versus Never Trumpers), and completely deranged interpretations become historical facts.

It's as if the MSM en masse is all under the same corporate umbrella because all of their attacks appear to be coordinated and contain the same information. Their information networks are highly cohesive and the material reviewed and screened to produce propaganda rather than "news". I imagine their central command is the WH.
I think often of the Star Trek TOS episode “Spectre of the Gun”, in which during the later part of the episode, Mr. Spock figures out that the entire scenario of the Gunfight at the OK Corral being re-enacted with the Enterprise crew is totally fake and totally unreal. His comment “Physical reality is consistent with universal laws. Where the laws do not operate, there is no reality” make me think of how from the start, the media and the Clintons and George Soros and others did not intend to run an ethical, honest campaign to begin with. Therefore, we have to operate with that sort of thing in mind.
It occurs to me that for propaganda to work at some level the folks who buy in WANT to believe. I suspect right now, here in America the percentage who want to believe is single digits. Hence the single digits approval of the journalism profession. It would not surprise me to discover no one believes them any longer even the Kool aid addicted know it is a load of BS.
But 44% WANT Hillary to win because of THEIR prejudices and envy and hatred (of white, Anglo-Saxon, religious, Christian, capitalist working American families.)
I think that assumes everyone who gets a gummint check wants her. I know for a fact that ain’t true. I suspect her solid base support is closer to 30%.

I know people who are liberal Democrats because they have been conditioned their whole lives to believe that Democrats care about people and want the best for everyone. When they see the propaganda, they take it as truth and never question.
I was raised that way, too, but the inconsistencies between the supposedly all-caring liberal politicians and the policies they supported (e.g. abortion on demand) did not mesh well with my very logical brain. These days, I want proof, not constant displays of "caring."
The American people love an underdog. They love stories about bullies getting their comeuppance in the end. The media are unwittingly setting Donald Trump up for a mandate landslide in November. Any decent American will see right through the hateful smear campaign against Mr. Trump by the political establishment and the mainstream media.
We have a man who has stepped up to the plate to take these bullies on on behalf of the American people. Most of us may be keeping our heads down for the moment but you can count on them speaking up at the polls on November 8.
People need to research the election of 1980. Reagan won easily despite overwhelming media attacks throughout the campaign (including polls showing his campaign in the tank).
That was at a time when the major media was held in higher regard than it is today.
So Trump will need to speak directly to the people and attack the media liars and their phony polls.
Meanwhile Hillary is in dire physical condition (which the media is trying to cover up as best they can) and clearly does not have the stamina to match a determined Trump campaign.
The anti-Hillary ad that we may see coming will show one of her mini-seizure videos and a nuclear red button next to her shaking hand...if this campaign gets as ugly as I think it will.
That would be particularly effective with no narration.
He has a point. Trump would get his message out to people that follow him instead of the talking-head news coming out of the MSM.
Trump has millions of followers on twitter and facebook. Including the MSM, that would be forced to show his live feeds on periscope/facebook/twitter on their tv shows.
They know millions have seen it - they would have to report on it.
Millions would watch Trump, or someone on his team's 'daily' reports...people would talk about it without seeing it on the news.
This would make the news obsolete.

The “Media” is everywhere. It is inescapable. From movies, to TV shows, to the third-rate local TV “reporter,” to the local newspaper, your teachers, radio “news,” internet social media, to Madison Ave. advertising, to sporting events, Leftist propaganda is constantly pounded into the public consciousness.
It has had an enormous effect. An effect that may very well destroy the country and the society that built it.
If her base gets demoralized, perhaps some won’t vote.

The media do what they do because it works; because it has always worked for them to some degree. It's largely why the Left has made such enormous progress in this country over the past 100 or so years.

The recent Wikileaks emails establish in black and white that the media are nothing more than pawns for the liberal Establishment. It’s not just opinion or conservative paranoia; it’s a demonstrable fact.
Of course they lie. Of course they exaggerate. Of course they rely on smear and innuendo. Those aren’t the issues; we’ve know that for decades.
What’s interesting is the phenomenon called “confirmation bias,” in which one actively seeks out that information that reinforces one’s beliefs, and shuns any data that contradict them. THAT is the only reason vile vehicles like the NY times and CNN can continue to exist.

they justify it by claiming Trump has damaged the Pub brand; as if eight more years of the secular left presiding over the culture won’t damage it at all...
