In a TV interview, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that the so-called "moderate opposition" in Syria uses booby-trapped APCs in order to carry out suicide bombings, while the Americans cannot inform the Russian side of the exact locations of the moderate opposition or of the ISIS and Jabhat Al-Nusra terrorists. The Russians moving into Syria, and now launching strikes from Iran, should really make Obama stop and think. What are we trying to achieve, what are our chances of achieving it, and will the cost be too high. The answer is we wanted to overthrow Assad. Short of a shooting war with the Russians, we aren't going to succeed in doing that. There is no way that Syria is worth getting in a shooting war with the Russians. They are sacrificing the lives of Russian soldiers when we have pledged to not commit ground troops to the conflict.

They out maneuvered us. Plain and simple.
