He’s white and not middle eastern or north african, that’s all that can be determined. His last name could be anything, could be a convert, could be a lone random fiend.
That’s very interesting, thanks for the translation. Bosnia...?
I did the same. I was sent a link by a Freeper that showed the train and a picture of a “suspect” who clearly did not fit the profile of native Swiss.
This means that out of the hundreds or thousand of attacks taking place that are motivated by Islam, this is one that actually might not be.
Race and origin can be indicative of religious affiliation, but is not determinate—I’m Irish, though not Catholic. The Caucasus region is filled with Muslims who are as Caucasian as one can be.
Unless they came from another Canton. They have a concept here of being a citizen of the town - if you are not "from here" they can and do use "bestens integriert". And even IF they WERE foreigners, they could be German, or American even (like me).
One of the questions that I ask as well. Escaped convicts are even looked for with pixelated photos! It is insane.
Yes, exactly as I wrote at the end of my post.

The clown in the pic has the pansy beard so common now.
Well, the only good thing about this is that he died painfully.
So I am curious—are the Swiss generally forbidden to know who any criminals in their country are? If they’ve been in jail and for what? Are kindergartens, for example, forbidden to check as to whether job applicants have been convicted as child molesters?
Thanks.
Oh, him? Of course, I have seen him. What? So ridiculous to blur the photo.
As a matter of principal, the identities of perpetrators, victims, missing persons and any other persons that might be published are protected by privacy laws.
For certain jobs, an applicant can be required to obtain a statement from the government that they have no record of criminal activity. This is VERY specific - i.e. if I apply for a job with kids, but have a record of say, armed robbery, that conviction has no bearing on the job in question and will not be revealed. Further, after a period of years (generally 5), any prior convictions will disappear from my record - unless specifically ordered by the court to remain there.
It is quite insane. Some of it is, at least, understandable - not publishing a suspects details protects them if they are later cleared of the crime, a runaway won't need to justify it on a later job application, etc ... the Swiss seem to take it to a high art form - escaped rapists have their "wanted" pictures pixelated which makes them readily identifiable to the general public(!!)
OK, but in defense of the "misconceptioners" (including me), the Media has used the "lone nutjob" epithet so often in covering up for the Muslims, that this was to be expected.
Pixilated “wanted” posters—sounds like classic government inanity!
:)
