When I find poll internals that have Hillary up by +2, but the internals of the poll have Democrats oversampled by 12, I smile.
When I hear that the polls were of "likely families" (I term I have *never* heard in polling before), I smile.
When I hear that the pollsters are explicitly asking for the YOUNGEST voter in the house (hoping to goose the anti-Trump count with hoped-to-be-Bernie supporters), I smile.
When I hear Jake Tapper overhearing middle-aged harpies and cat women in the gym gossiping about how awful Trump must be, "but I'm still going to vote for him" I smile.
It's the economy, stupid.
Washington, DM (District of Mordor, or of Money, take your pick) is doing well.
But the rest of the country is gaunt, emaciated, like a sickly North Korean.
I remember the aftermath of Obama's election: the mass layoffs, the large number of buildings that used to have businesses in them, with "For Lease -- ABC Property Mgmt. Co" signs out front: most of which are still there today.
I remember the #FeelTheBern and the chagrin of most under-30s that they cannot get jobs, and the jobs they have, are limited in hours, to avoid Obamacare taxes.
It's the soccer moms and security, stupid.
I know that despite the slobbering fellatio given to Obama and Hillary on a daily basis by the press, people look at ISIS attacks in Paris, in Germany, in San Bernadino, at the Boston Marathon, in Orlando...and they *know* we are not safe.
I know by walking around, you see more and more burkhas around, more and more (gasp!) dark-skinned foreigners, who don't even bother to speak our language: and the Goebbels of the alphabet-soup networks tell us that insisting on American values, the "ugly American" syndrome, is not only insisting on the American way overseas; but daring to do so here at home.
I know by listening even to the regular news networks, or the radio, of the increasingly common executions of policemen, for nothing more than "driving (or walking) while blue" and the mass riots in city after city, by people who claim all the rights and privileges of citizenship, but reject any of the responsibilities.
And I compare the facts which come out half heartedly, or by mistake, in dribs and drabs, after the story has left the headlines. And I see how many of the things stated in the headlines, or condescendingly explained to me by the talking heads, were out-and-out LIES, known to be so at the time. Which makes the air of intellectual superiority, nothing more than the thumb on the velvet glove of tyranny.
And I hear of five-year-old-girls being sexually assaulted -- with the assault filmed on iPhones, Androids, what have you -- by her pre-teen assailants -- and I hear the local prosecutors and politicians lie through their teeth about the crime, and the victim, and the victim's family -- and I read the news reports of the gleeful insistence by Obama and other Democrats to bring in hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands MORE, just like them, without and background checks, and to seed them in our communities throughout America.
And I don't say it, and the security Moms don't dare to say it, but your eyes meet theirs and you *know*.
It's American values and family, stupid.
When gay marriage was ramrodded through; and a slew of powerful corporations backed and celebrated it; when small Mom-and-Pop stores were painted as psychotic extremists, merely for attempting to live their own chosen values, and then forced to pay homosexual jizya for being allowed to exist, and they should thank Gaia they were not just shut down;
when conservative voices are banned from Twitter, for "conduct unbecoming community standards" (and carefully left unstated, are "Which community" and (as the news magazines said so long ago in the aftermath of the Dan Quayle/Murphy Brown flap), "WHOSE standards?"; and yet voices of hate against Palin, against Trump, against regular people without an agenda, are left standing...
...and the crowning achievements, the attempts to force people to call an aging ex-Olympic athlete, who has begun the process of surgically and chemically changing his outward body from a man to a plasticine woman (the external genitalia not yet removed, the bony structure of the pelvis the same as a man's, the chromosomes and DNA the same as the day he was born) -- the attempts to force people to call him a woman, complete with ghastly swimsuit pictures, and a new name to boot --
accompanied by the absolute, unhinged, frenzied DEMAND -- that distinctions of sex in restrooms, both public and in commercial ventures, be eliminated, that men be allowed into the "safe space" for women, merely on their own say-so...
I stop smiling, and I shake my head.
Then, to look at the candidate who has been chosen for us (for leaked emails, which her political party dare not even deny, show the behind the scenes collusion to coronate her, and to allow here opponent the appearance of a campaign, in order to foist the illusion of choice upon a gullible electorate).
And I look at tales of open malfeasance, of Americans being left to die overseas, fighting to the death as they wait for help they now know will never come; and the Candidate, meeting with the families while the bodies are still abed in their caskets, lying like a Commissar, that their loved ones' death were due to a fictitious video, again, knowing at the time it is a bald faced lie and simply not caring;
And I look again at tales of utter incompetence, of illegally using a computer for email, that was not only out from under the government firewall. but stored in a bathroom; and the traitorous behavior, of lying in the open light of day, that she never mishandled classified information, only to have it revealed that there were dozens, hundreds, thousands of them: that US intelligence sources were named in plaintext and subsequently killed by foreign powers; that the husband of this candidate (who had been impeached and found guilty of encouraging others to commit perjury) met privately, in a secluded portion of an airport, on a private jet, far from prying eyes and ears, with the head of the Department of Justice...a mere day or two before the top official at the top law-enforcement and investigative body of the government, held a press conference, to announce that despite the long exhaustive list of things which would, and did, and have, resulted in loss of clearance, of rank, of career, or prison, for many other Americans, were worth nothing more than a shrug of the shoulders;
to find out that money flowed like water into the coffers of the so-called global initiative, while levers were pulled and favors called in and the full force and weight of the US Department of State used like a giant slot machine or roulette wheel, which always seemed to pay off for those foresighted enough to make a timely donation to the family foundation of one particular candidate.
My head stops shaking, and my eyes narrow.
Obama was bad enough.
"We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America."
NEVER. AGAIN.
From which we get this quote:
"Based on the results of other recent presidential elections, however, as well as Trump's extraordinary unpopularity, it appears very likely that the Republican vote share will fall several points below what would be expected if the GOP had nominated a mainstream candidate and that candidate had run a reasonably competent campaign. Therefore, despite the prediction of the Time for Change model, Clinton should probably be considered a strong favorite to win the 2016 presidential election as suggested by the results of recent national and state polls," he concluded on the Crystal Ball site.
>Thats what they did to Goldwater too; he even said if he didnt know who he was, he would have voted against himself too based on news reports.<
And the Democrats succeeded in changing the entire country’s perception of their party. Republicans have been paying that price ever since.
I agree with you. Abramowwitz, for whatever reason, is discarding his own data, on feelings.
So many people do not make up their minds until after Labor Day. The violence of this summer needs to be squarely pinned on the party in the White House. That would be Democrats.
51 to 48....I’ll take it even though I think the enthusiasm gap between the two indicates there will be a voter turnout for Trump that will lead to an election blowout.
I can see the possibility that several nominally safe Dem states going to Trump (against Clinton?)
In any event this will be a historic election determining .....” Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
She’s not competitive. Would not break 40% in an honest vote. Dems may steal millions just to make it look close, for the future. Obama machine stole 1,600,00 in just Wisconsin, Ohio, Virginia, and Florida - 400,000 in each state. In Ohio, the last week of October, 2012, Dems hired 1,000s on fresh meat to get out the vote.
I agree. Try a thought experiment and put yourself into the shoes of the Clinton handlers. Yes, it is hard. But, like you said, she has been coddled. She is like a prize fighter who never really had a world class challenge...except for Obama in 2008. I do not have the stomach to find the debates between her and Obama and even Lazio (for her senate seat). Trump has that New Yorker bravado and knows how to scrap.
So, as far as handlers go, they can push for the "Trump is a bully", but that makes her look weak. She can try the "millionaire and billionaire" approach, but Trump can counter that with "honest vs dishonest" and "she is a multi millionaire". They will try to go with the playbook of racist, sexist, war-monger, dangerous, but their playbook is obsolete when it comes to DJT. They must be sweating bullets. All in all, stock up on popcorn.
Mr. Trump is very smart to not to not get the ads out until September.
Translation:
Look for a Mr. Donald J. Trump LANDSLIDE in November.
It takes presence of mind and courage to hold fire and keep your powder dry.
Sweeps Week both barrels open up for a full broadside.
Racist......until now, no one has ever accused him of being a racist and he’s been in the spotlight for decades
Sexist.....if I’m not mistaken, he’s way ahead of the curve when it comes to women having high level jobs with is company.
War Monger....he’s been coming out since day 1 against the wars. If anything she’s the war monger.
Bully.....all he’s gonna do is bring up how many women she destroyed protecting herself during all of her husbands sexual assaults
In some ways, it is more like a horse race.
The winner has to hold his position near the front and then surge at the finish line.
Given that frame of reference, Trump just needs to keep stirring the pot until the straight away.
As an aside, the media, by falling for Trump's baiting, is demonstrating to the voters that they are completely biased and cannot be trusted to report the truth.
The media will have used up its ammo early...too early.
Sorry for the mixed metaphors of foot racing, horse racing, cooking, and armed conflict. They just seemed to fit together this time.
What, no football?
“We’re gonna win this time.” From your mouth to God’s ears!
