WASHINGTON (CNN) The last time Connecticut voted for a Republican presidential candidate, Americans were listening to music on cassette tapes and most cell phones were the size of shoe boxes.

Is anybody ever satisfied?
Let the guy run his campaign
He has a plan, he knows what he wants to accomplish
And he certainly is drowning out Hillary
I’ll tell u what...if you don’t campaign there you are definitely not going to win!
Donald Trump is running a national campaign. He is forcing Hillary to compete and burn cash in states that should be easy checkmarks for her in the general. Yet, here you have these Republicans - these concern troll, total losers - touting the same strategy that has caused them to lose 5 out of the last 6 popular vote in the presidential election.
Hah. Not likely.
Never, ever, in 40 years of politics, have I seen such a steady undercutting of a nominee.
We had absolutely LOSERS like Bob Dole and the GOP ‘insiders’ didn’t whine like this.
I hope Trump cleans house, not just in government, but in the Republican Party when he wins.
What Trump is doing is focusing on the 3 he has to win, FL, OH, and PA.
Y’know, this probably explains why Republicans keep losing.
Trump is Winning!
The GOPe is Losing!
You’re assuming that she is spending significant money in comfortably blue states like RI. Do you have any spending figures?
Trump’s travel advantage is his ace in the hole. These Republicans are trying to sabotage funding for Trump because they have believed the rot the Democrat house media whores are spouting against Trump will hurt their re-elections.
Trump has beaten the GOPe black & blue. Who are they to question anything? The Trump Train goes where the Trump Train wants to go.
I’m not sure that a state like Connecticut is beyond reach for Trump. I don’t know where the Republican elite are from but Trump strikes me as a pretty average New Yorker though more from upstate and not the pants down liberals from Manhattan. I think Connecticut may be some what like up State New York.
I wonder how much of the never Trump is the hatred of all things New York (Much of it justified)that exist in large parts of the South and West. If Trump was running on the same platform but had a drawling Georgia accent rather than the slurred New York accent would he be better received in the hinterland? Is he perceived by some as a “confidence man” because people associate New York with con men and carpet baggers?
If that is true - then might not people from New England not vote for candidates that sound like they are from California or Kansas because in their ears the candidate sounds stupid, ignorant or dangerous which are all terms used to describe Trump? I really wonder how much accent affects voting patterns.
I know it affect hiring. When I entered academia I made it a point to speak in a bland PBS English accent for some interviews rather than the normal Alabama/Texas accent I grew up with. Guess which jobs interviews resulted in job offers in the North East?
Isn’t shovelling money out for tv ads akin to paying an enemy?
You know what happens when you assume, right? And no, I'm not being made an @ss.
By Trump campaigning in blue states, Hillary will do the same and waste time and money defending what should be easy pickups instead of battleground states. That's the beauty of Trump. All 50 states are in play, instead of the usual BS where the Republican only focuses on the South and West and cede everything else.
The Bitch-Witch is spending a ton in North Carolina.
It isn’t going to help at all.
