Ferris Bueller is deeply mired in the 80s, much the way Lost Boys is. They’ve both got their rabid fan bases, but haven’t aged well. Animal House could very well have been done almost entirely on an empty set, because the majority of the “meat” of that movie is the characters and their interactions.

Sure, there are physical gags, and some comedy spots that are designed to take advantage of Belushi’s brand of humor, and the Deathmobile can’t really be done any other way than the movie did it, but they don’t rely on the background to sell the plot. Ferris Bueller would have to be done entirely differently if it were made in today’s world with cellphones and youtube.

Not altogether Bueller has personalities and classic relationships classic action and characters. Boldness success hope love

Themes of stopping to smell the roses. Helping a friend step away from dysfunctional oppression to gain perspective and getting one over on the jerk school principal

High schoolers like it

We watched bad news bears it was dark depressing no theme worth anything
