I agree, she is not disrespecting anything, she is standing dignified facing the flag.

It is not compulsory to put the hand over the heart, c’mon people there’s a difference between being a conservative and a fascist.

You are a super patriot who puts his hand over his puffed out chest while no doubt singing, word perfect, every verse of the Star-Spangled Banner? Good for you, that’s nice.

Other people might feel that a quiet, dignified stance, eyes forward, hands clasped, is sufficient. If the US means anything then it means that people are free to express their respect for their flag and country in ways that are comfortable for them without being hounded by the thought police and being scanned by patriotometers.

Come on, lighten up.

There will be opportunites for her if she’s good enough. Nowadays, there are many ways to make money if you have a name and a familiar face. Online, offline, on apps only, podcasts, livestreaming, periscoping, etc. All this before you get to TV and cable.

The Progressive Lords of Hollywood take care of like minded parrots. At the Least, she will be given a chance to be a SportsReporter. Even for that, Gabby will have to learn about working with people, the give and take of available limelight; don’t hog it all! She’ll need to learn how to feign listening to other people’s opinions and problems.

It’s really funny how quiet the stadium gets during the prayer. Since it’s track and field most of the competitors and their parents are Black and my can those momma’s yell at their kiddos! Discipline reigns supreme though. No kids running around, no underwear showing and all of the kids are very polite or they get a cuff up the side of the head. One of my grandson’s coach won a Gold medal years ago and another competed all four years in college and is a Baptist minister so lots of praying going on.

One of our local high schools had scripture verses on banner which players ran through at beginning of game. Someone complained, it went to court and the Judge ruled the scriptures can continue. We are really big on Friday night football down here.

Still some bastions of morality in Texas, particularly in the suburbs - not so much in the big cities.

There was another picture that showed her clenched fist, down by her side. She had a rather defiant look on her face .

We never put our hand over our heart for the Star Spangled Banner. We did for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Still the way I do it.

Lol, your farrrrr more optimistic about her future than I am.

Like many, many millions of Americans, when I hear her name in the future it will be accompanied by a groan. She did herself great harm. Athletes never seem to recover from these anti America gestures.
