Trump said this and there were OpEds he was anti-American and ‘dangerous’ for questioning our election system. Seriously. It was a week or two ago.
Ample evidence this is a Big problem:

“CAN”? How about “WILL”. Then the servers will be cloth wiped.
I'll bet there will be more than one predominately black district in PA with more than 100% turnout, and more than 90% vote for Hillary.
This is why there are organizations who work hard to fight and prevent voter fraud.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. After all, the big hackers seem to be working for Republicans lately. Most Dems are too stupid to hack.
Yup.
And Democrats along with establishment have a cover story to co-opt the election, hacker attack threat, vs deliberate coordinated effort to alter digital voting machine tabulation results.

hmmmmm......
My eyebrows are raised not by the story, but by the fact that it came from CBS!
Tells me that all the polls we are seeing are crap. That their internals tell them Trump is going to win. And that Obama is laying a game plan to declare a foul and void the election.
Huh?
RE: “After all, the big hackers seem to be working for Republicans lately.”
Please clarify.
Only reason CBS would bring this up is so if Trump wins they can say “See we told you so.”
There is nothing wrong with paper ballots and optical readers. No need for electronic voting.
I don’t care if it takes 2 or 3 days to tally the votes. I do not want instantaneous results when it is such an important event.
The Democrats are are not going to do anything about election fraud unless and until they are victimized.
If Trump wins fair and square, they are still going to claim that they were victimized by hackers. Probably those danged Russkies again.
The fact this ran on CBS is telling you that they have some plot hatching to try and void the election if Trump wins.
“Foreign actors” are definitely a threat, many of the Canadians don't even have accents so they are hard to detect. But even more of a problem, the ones with heavy accents are just plain annoying. Schwarzenegger has definitely got to go. And everyone knows the political commentators with British accents think they are better than real Americans. Who wants to listen to that? But as far as compromising the election process, the Democrats are more than capable and willing of doing that without any help at all from foreign actors.
Exactly!
That’s in play as we speak, not just from media, but also DHS Jeh Johnson declaring digital voting machines to be “critical infrastructure”.
To be fair, DHS and NIST have been making an effort to address cybersecurity threats via promoting adoption of security controls such as NIST 800-53 across private and public IT systems.
However, given the blatant corruption and democrat crony collusion, of DHS, DOJ and other gov’t agencies, it’s reasonable to be very suspicious that Obola and dems might throw the election using the convenient excuse of cyberattacks nullifying election results in key states to bring about desired election win results for HRC, and dem led senate and house.
RE: “And that Obama is laying a game plan to declare a foul and void the election.”
If CBS news is talking about this then it means that the powers to be are ready to upgrade to the next level of voting machines that can be “Controlled” easily and without leaving any trace of tampering. We don’t need to upgrade voting machines. We need to downgrade them... Totally away from electronics and back to mechanical means.
Both Hillary’s emails and the DNC emails were hacked, which doesn’t exactly help the Demon Rats. My comment was a snark, meant to frighten Dem lurkers to FR.
That is what tin pot dictators do and approximately half of the US voting population would not be happy.
Please tell me that earnest response regarding “foreign actor” threats, was sarcastic.
Please?
The term refers to foreign individuals or state sponsored hackers maliciously attacking our digital election voting system.
RE: “Election security is critical, and a cyberattack by foreign actors on our elections systems could compromise the integrity of our voting process.
